Bringing a healthy lunch to work?

    Hi Guys,

    I am looking for some advise on bringing a healthy lunch to work. The reason for this is two fold 1. to eat healthier than I previously have been and 2.To spend less money that I previously have been.

    First of all I am a reasonably big guy at 200lbs and I have a very healthy appetite so small portions are not really something I am aiming for(I mean very small portions)with my line of work I have a long day and I need to try to avoid hunger during the day to prevent me from approaching the vending machines at certain times because I have little time for anything but an unhealth snack.

    I have facilities at work to heat my food.I have been looking at various ideas on the web and the first thing I have seen is bringing a thermos which would allow soup,stews etc. Not keen on eating bread so this cuts out sandwiches etc.

    Does anyone have any ideas on relatively cheap, relatively healthy and easily made lunch ideas and recipies? Links for good recipies welcomed!

    Also ideas on breakfast in the office are welcome, currently I have cereal but this is not particularly filling and not very healthy!I think porridge is the way to go here?Any ideas?

    Porridge is a yes for breakfast with/or maybe 2-4 eggs scrambled in a microwave.

    Baked/Grilled Chicken & savory rice (Really nice cold too)
    Baked/Grilled Chicken and egg in a whole grain wrap. - Yum Yum
    Tuna pasta bake - you can make a big batch and use it during the week.
    Tuna, spinach and sesame seed in a whole grain wrap. - One of my favorites.
    Baked/Grilled Chicken & sweet potato mash
    Baked/Grilled Chicken & whole grain pasta (I use a homemade tomato sauce with it)
    Beef (lots of veggies) stir fry with brown rice (Be careful of packet stir fry sauce. Some are high in cals.)

    To be honest these are what work for me. You need to test and try different foods and see what works for you in work.
