    Hi all,

I looking to cut some body fat however i don't want to loose overall strength.

Currently I would do 3 days a week weights doing 2 different muscle groups a day and do 8, 8, 6, 6 with heavy weights.

Now i would like to cut my bodyfat without loosing strength and would like to know if anybody has done the above workout. I tried it with arms last week and seemed pretty good, also could I still grow with this, on the last set I was able to lift more than i usually could!

Look forward to hearing your replies.

Your trying to do two different things at once, lose fat and gain muscle .. while possible it is very difficult and you would be better concentrating on one or the other. It all comes down to calories in versus calories out. Maintain a deficit to lose weight, take in more than you need to grow.

If you are looking to do both look into the likes of carb cycling.

    Good luck.

To get more muscle definition you need to reduce your body fat, that involves weight loss, or more specifically fat loss.

why not keep doing whatever your doing now but reduce your calorie intake?

what constitutes a heavy weight and what muscles are you working? can you provide a breakdown of your routines and the weights you are lifting?
