I love zombies. They have such a grip on popular culture, without being sexed up by Hollywood. It's comforting that zombies really can't be made to twinkle or bicep-ripple.
They are genuinely frightening, an army that has no real motives, they can't be negotiated with. Their potential recruits are EVERYONE. You'll probably have to kill your best friend at some point, lets be honest here.
I mean, we all have zombie plans. Few of us have werewolf plans, or vampire plans.
    Feckin' zombies. Bring. It. On.

Taken. I love me some sexy Liam Neeson action. Rwar.

Why do ornithologists go to the birds?

I don't get that one at all. Is it a joke or a pun?

Hmm... Well, if we assume that the traditional myths of werewolves apply I would get myself some silver, electroplate my lobo with it. Then I would make myself a hat out of wolfsbane and go to town on their hairy asses. Although, wikipedia says that Danish legend holds that scolding a werewolf cures it. Which would be hilarious. Naughty naughty werewolf! *strikes nose with newspaper* Don't. Do. It. Again. *paff*

I wasn't happy, in general. After thinking about it for a bit, one of the reasons I wasn't happy was low self-confidence. I just didn’t like myself.

    This one: Felicia+Day+1.jpg

I can’t really remember. I really liked Guess Who for some reason.

    Stargate SG1 <3

I don’t really have one. I don’t pay much attention to flowers.

50 Vampires, vampires are pussies. Even the really hardcore ones can be defeated with some garlic (cheap and readily available), some religion (seriously, this is Ireland. We have ass-loads of stuff to throw) and a bit of sunlight. Buy a few of those SAD treating lights from Amazon and you’ll be able to sit in a circle of sunlight and throw garlic wrapped crucifixes.

There are! The Walking Dead was pretty recent and was *awesome*.

    Cats. Screw dogs.

I accidentally stole a sandwich about a month ago. I ate it and wandered back to work without paying. I went back the next day though!

I have one from when I was about 10, a stuffed dog called Spog. The one I had when I was a little kid got lost. L I still miss him.

    A neighbor kid called Alan.

    Someone with a satellite phone.

I assume I’ll be physically alright for the 24 hours? Phone up a few people, tell them I hate them. Shag anyone I felt like shagging. Get very very very drunk and make a show of myself.
Sure would be embarrassing if it turned out I wasn’t going to die though!

    Yes, yes I have.

    Sense of intelligent humour.

Too many to count. I have a high sense of paranoia and I get embarrassed very easily. Probably when I went out, got drunk, punched a guy and broke his nose and didn’t remember any of it. Sitting there while people gleefully recounted what I’d been up to.. wow. Owch. That pretty much ended my wild child period.

Now, if I told ye that, it wouldn’t be a secret. ;)

    I’d kiss Mags, but that’s all. He’s like Zevran from Dragon Age. Sure he’ll take jewelry and gold bars, but no emotional commitment. ;_;
I’d marry Boomy, so then I could steal all her clothes. :D
I’d avoid Cyberwolf, cuz I’m pretty sure he’d murder me and wear my skin to work.
I’d fistfight Randy. He’d like it too.

I was bullied a lot in school. I had a lot of nicknames. Emotional scarring prevents me from telling anyone when they were though.

Always tempted to use them for evil and I'd swap them for magical healing powers.

I'd breed Nerin with Cyberwolf. All those wallet-stealing skills and uncomfortable amounts of violent tendencies would make an unstoppable army that would be able to fund itself.

    No, no she won't. Ever.

    I don’t

I kinda want to hit them. I hate pictures of myself and I hate it even more when they *insist* “Oh go on, picture, stand here, it’ll look lovely, blah blah”. I usually feel physically sick when I’m forced in front of a camera. There are about 5 photos of myself that I like.
    (sorry Tuds!)

    1

    Not often, but it’s happened.

No, but I have one hidden away for when I’m really really sick. He has lavender in him and makes me feel better.

Hmm…. For smelling, Italian food cooking. For wearing, something with vanilla and musk notes.

    Hello Rose,

Do you have a favourite poem?
    If yes, what is it?

    Thank you for your time.

The Listeners by Walter De La Mare.

I love the images and phrasing. Just the line "silence surged softly backwards" gives me goosebumps for realz. When I read it first, I spent ages thinking about what the message was, why there was no one there to take it.

    This bit:
    "But no one descended to the Traveller;
No head from the leaf-fringed sill
Leaned over and looked into his grey eyes,
Where he stood perplexed and still."

I mean, why does the detail of the sill and the 'grey eyes' need to be there if there is no one there? Hmm? Creepy, huh?

    The Listeners
    by Walter De La Mare

'Is there anybody there?' said the Traveller,
    Knocking on the moonlit door;
And his horse in the silence champed the grasses
    Of the forest's ferny floor:
And a bird flew up out of the turret,
    Above the Traveller's head
    And he smote upon the door again a second time;
'Is there anybody there?' he said.
    But no one descended to the Traveller;
No head from the leaf-fringed sill
Leaned over and looked into his grey eyes,
Where he stood perplexed and still.
But only a host of phantom listeners
That dwelt in the lone house then
Stood listening in the quiet of the moonlight
To that voice from the world of men:
Stood thronging the faint moonbeams on the dark stair,
That goes down to the empty hall,
Hearkening in an air stirred and shaken
    By the lonely Traveller's call.
And he felt in his heart their strangeness,
    Their stillness answering his cry,
While his horse moved, cropping the dark turf,
    'Neath the starred and leafy sky;
For he suddenly smote on the door, even
    Louder, and lifted his head:-
'Tell them I came, and no one answered,
That I kept my word,' he said.
Never the least stir made the listeners,
    Though every word he spake
Fell echoing through the shadowiness of the still house
From the one man left awake:
Ay, they heard his foot upon the stirrup,
And the sound of iron on stone,
And how the silence surged softly backward,
When the plunging hoofs were gone.

What brought you to Boards and by extension, the Noc forum.

You say Rose 2.0 came about because you weren't as happy and self confident as you could be, has it helped change (for the record: I think Rose 2.0 with the new do and fab dress looked amazing :))

If you were offered the opportunity to buy the place you currently live in, would you take it (assuming that you had the money and could afford repayments etc). If not, where would you like to live in Dublin?

Do you think the work you do "matters" and what would you like to get out of work besides money to live on?

If there was something artistic you'd like to accomplish in your lifetime what would it be or have you done it already?

I thought I wanted to do chemistry when I started college, then I realised that I didn't like all the maths.
Then I sort of accidentally ended up in Zoology in second year in college and realised that I fekcing loved it. I loved botany too, and dithered between the two for a while. I made the right choice though. :)

I don't watch a lot of tv on the tv, but I watch a lot of shows on my laptop. I'm loving South Riding at the moment, it's set in post- WWI rural England.
I like all kinds of things, but I really like the retro theme at the moment, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, etc.

Haven't been to a gig in AAAGGGEEESSS. Probably some random band in Pravda Grand Social.

That sub culture that thinks being blond, orange, stupid and (for the ladies) a slut is a good thing. I really couldn't have less respect for anyone with that mentality. Grow the feck up.

Macaws that are grey may exist, but Grey Macaws as a species doesn't, as far as I know. You may be thinking of Grey Parrots, which do exist.

I could if it was coated in silver and hung with wolfbane.

I'm making my way through it. To be honest, if I have time to proof read something, I use it to proof read my thesis which is 100000 times more important right now.
If it's not too late for you, I'll do it in June.

A5 size. The one that's half the size of A4.

    Ginger tea!

Actually, I'd love to be an awesome juggler. So that when there is a street performer doing his/her thing, I could step up, borrow the juggling-balls or whatever, execute a perfect Mill's Mess and disappear into the sunset...

Who would win in a free for all fight between Liam Neeson from Star Wars, Liam Neeson from Taken, Liam Neeson from Rob Roy or Liam Neeson from Krull?

When you are single do you like to do the chasing or be chased?

    Favourite 80's power ballad?

Most hated hair cut on a man?

If Zombie Ninja's kidnapped your family and would only let them go unharmed if you danced seductively for them what song would you choose to bump and grind your family to freedom to?

If you could dropkick someone to the face and get away with it who would that be?

Why won't Krystle ever love me?

If you were my girlfirend would you let me wear my chain and my turtleneck sweater during sexah time?

Liam Neeson from Taken. So awesome. He killed ALL of the guys.

Hmm... I've generally done the chasing. I've never really been chased, so I can't say how I'd react to it. I do love the hunt though... If it's too easy, I tend to lose a certain amount of interest. :/

    Does Hotblooded count? It should!

Shaven head. Bald is fine, but something about a shaved head is a turn off. Oh, and that floppy emo hair, it can bog off.

Hmm.. Santa Baby. Rwar. It would have to be a Christmas ninja.

So many people... If I had to pick one, just one... It would be this guy I know from another internet community. Every word he says makes me want to punch him in the face.
I'd dropkick him til he stopped being annoying. Which would be NEVER.

She knows of your wiles and sneaky hidden agendas. I told her.

No, no I wouldn't. In fact, I don't think a turtleneck should be worn by any man ever. And only a very small amount of women should be allowed to wear them and most of those are sexy polish women.
And gold chains can go die in a fire.
    Blerk
    *shudder*
