Things that are fantastic.

I've been having a quick read of the threads here on AH and they are filled with negativity. People defecating in their delicates, revenge fantasies, lads in Belfast who didn't eat, people who can't even face getting up in the morning and appreciating the wonders of the world we live in; and a thread devoted to calling David McSavage a twat.

    So where is the positivity?

What has been fantastic for you today (or yesterday)?

    For me it has been:

The cheese sandwich I've just finished.
My fiancée finishing work tomorrow and the two of us booking a holiday.
Again realising how great a tune Ironman by Black Sabbath is, and promising myself to listen to more classic metal in the near future.
Coming to the conclusion that the Kindle is actually one of the greatest pieces of technology ever invented.
That absolutely enormous shíte I made this morning.

    Be positive!

Realizing that after all the heartbreak I've been through with relationships, my family has been and will always be there to support me and that I really appreciate them and love them.

Playing grifball in Halo: Reach entertains me a good deal

Realizing that life isn't as bad as I think it is and that it could be worse but I'm grateful it's not.

Reading posts in AH give me a good laugh and smile...most of the time.

Be positive, why didn't I just think of that?!

Very easy to be positive when you have the means of booking a holiday and a fiance to accompany you with on said holiday

I think all your posts are just so brilliant so I thanked each and every one! Even the shit ones. :P

I think it's fantastic that I still have alcohol left in the house after 2.30am - result! I probably won't think it's so fantastic in the morning but hey - I've nothing to be up for!

I was on a training course today on "building resilience" (basically they are softening us up so they can do a big restructure soon). I was sitting at a table with a colleague that I know is having a really really hard time at home and work for a number of reasons.

We had to rate our stress and then guess what the other person said. She said a really low number for me because she said "everything is great for you and you have everything going for yourself" but I'd given myself a high score for being stressed and overthinking things. I realised she's right - I have nothing to complain about. She meant it in a nice way, not a bitter way but it really made me think. Definitely a bit of an eye opener - I need to appreciate what I have and stop being so negative.

    Just for today:

The 'coffee in a teabag' thingy I got off a workmate this morning. Brilliant!
    My husband.
    Springtime.
The fact that all annoying meetings for today have been cancelled by sheer fluke.
The fact that I just booked the flights to go home for a long weekend to see my little godson and the rest of the family.

Still have a job, granted no money but who needs money when you can extend lines of credit.

Going over to London to see the gf on Friday.

And me in general, I'm just fantastic.

I woke up at 3am this morning feeling really refreshed and realised I had 4 more hours of sleep. Feeling great now. 1 week into a new job that's a step up and really challenging. Have found an apartment online that fits me perfectly and doesn't become available until 4 days after my payday.

Washing down loads of beetroot and sweetcorn with 9 pints of the black stuff and looking at the girls face as she gives me a collonic the next morning. Thats makes me happy and horny at the same time. I always bring my horn home with me, maybe she a lesbian.
