I have wanted to try Yoga for a long time and I'm just wondering can anyone recommend any classes in the city centre?

I'm a 26 male and would like to join a class where males are welcome

PS - fell free to move this to another thread if a similar one is in operation.

    Thanks.

I'm sure there are loads of optons but my girlfriend goes to iyoga.ie in Phibsborough and reccomends it. They have a men only class and men are also to be found in the other classes.

I'm sure f you do a google search for 'yoga dublin city men' you'll find more

I did a couple of classes with http://www.yogadublin.com/ [classes in Dundrum and Ranelagh]. They were excellent, and I intend to go back after my goal race in April.

The only people embarrassed and feeling odd at the start of the first class [12 ladies and myself] was myself. No one else cared, and before too long your busy trying to do and hold poses, you will be too tired to notice anything else but your burning muscles :)

I hope to go to a class in town tomorrow evening. I'm really looking forward to it! I'm trying to convince a few mates to come but it looks like I'll have to go solo; once I don't chicken out :)

Definitely don't chicken out. I started going to a class in town 6 weeks ago and love it.

Although that said I mightn't have gone if I hadn't convinved one of the girls in work to go with and haven't told most of my mates either!!!

I do Bikram Yoga in Sandyford. As tough a work out as you'll do anywhere. It has really benefited me.

cant understand why being one of possibly very few blokes in a yoga class filled with women would be a bad thing - most guys would consider that a total win

    I second www.yogadublin.com

I don't know of any in the Rialto area but the Elbow Room isn't far from the Smithfield stop on the red luas line. I think they do pilates as well as yoga. I haven't tried any of the city centre ones myself but there's a list here
