I had my first shoot with this setup on Sunday it was going great until we went out of the range of the router. This new firmware upgrade should stop that being an issue in the future.

The client loved seeing the images on the ipad and was able to star the shots they wanted processed straight away. No proofing was needed.

Good to hear you're having success with it. I've had much the same experience, shortening the time it takes them to make their decisions. Happy days... :)

On another note, the eye-fi app I mentioned earlier got approved. Havn't had much of a chance to use it yet though...

which version of eyefi card works, i know other people have had troubles with the newer ones

david does it work with your 40d too??

and one more, where do you find the superuser password for your ipad

Version one of the eye-fi card worked with a cf adapter but it error-ed out a lot and is not supported by eye-fi in this configuration. Version two will work with the right cf adapter and UDMA capable camera. Again, not support by eye-fi. The 40D is not UDMA capable so won't work at all. Of course, if you own a camera which accepts a SDHC card you'll be fine anyway.

I havn't really looked into jailbreaking my ipad so don't really know much about it. Though you'll find, through google, some apps for changing the root password of a jailbroken ipad which is set to 'alpine' by default.

Yes I've tried it, not extensively, but it did work. Wasn't too fast.
