    YE Yang, McIlroy and GMac

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭Sport101

Ye Yang, Oooooosthuizen & GMAC. McIlroy was rubbish last week.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,648 ✭✭✭AGC

But McIlroy has been quite good this season in stroke play.....Sure look what happened to Crane in next round.

Stroke play is a different game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭Sport101

You may be right, sure Donald shot 79 the week before the matchplay. It s tough course though so I'd prefer Gmac to Mcilroy and the others are fancy prices.

Decided to go with R McIlroy, YE Yang and Robert Allenby.

McIlroy missing a lot of putts going by shot tracker. +2 after 10

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭Fursttimer

    Appleby & Allenby.

Plenty of them really struggling with the windy conditions

ever since rory broke up with the missus his form has deserted him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭Fursttimer

Is shot tracker playing up again or is it genuine?

An 8 for Adam Scott on the par 3 15

Adam Scott so far has 85% driving accuracy, 13 out of 16 greens hit in regulation and his score is +5. You don't see that too often.

Must be very tough conditions out there, poor Camillo Villegas is +9.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48 micky radigan

mcilroy driving accuracy 42.86%,finished 3 over not good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Hes still only 6 off the lead, so its not all doom and gloom.

14/1 e/w in a field of 150 players om Mc Elroy?,the bookies really do have a lot of explaining to do on pricing
then again if punters like yourself perceive that as value they're laughing all the way to the bank

    bettencourt ew 250/1
    woodland ew 150/1

Have to say it is really nice to see the pro's having a tough time of it. The conditions are brutal. Some massive scores being racked up by the top players.
    Gmac +3 after 10
    Poults +3 after 8
Donald and McIlroy both finished 3 over
Els and Oosthuizen finished 5 over.

The par 3's 15 and 17 are absolute beasts

Well whatever the price I'd be betting on him, have backed him in every tournament he's played for past 2 years

    i'll answer that,not great

It's actually not too bad, it was looking bad up until quail hollow last year. He was after a string of poor results and I got him at 35/1 that week so had nice winnings. Also throw on a bit extra on the majors so the good results there have given a tidy e/w return.
Would be on a good profit overall without making a fortune, but at least it ain't a loss. So I'll keep going with backing him, a win at some stage this year and good finishes in the majors should give me a plus figure hopefully for 2011

Matt Kuchar is contention again after round one . He really is a very consistent player. He would not be a bad bet for the Masters , he's currently priced at 50/1.

Don't worry about the Masters yet. Get on him next week at Doral! Tied third on his first start in the event last year. Looks a super bet.

Can't find any live feed either. Just pgatour.com for the live scoring.

Long way to go but I hope Westwood wins. Do a few American heads in. :D

Otherwise Charl Schwartzel - best looking golf swing around imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

+4 for McIlroy today, played the last 5 holes on 2 under par.
Looking like it could be a two horse race between Stanley and Sabbatini, but it is
    very unlikely imo.

Poor Mike Weir, 22 over par! Lost his card, now has to rely on invitations.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Ever since he changed his swing after his Masters win to the stack and tilt method
his game has gone to pot. Reminds me of somebody. :(

well done on the most pointless post of the week,in this forum the odd spelin mistake is tolerated,

Gmac now +5 and Rory is +11.
Not a great week for the Europeans bar Westwood maybe, but hes 2 over for his
    round so far.

When you see his name written probably every day it's not difficult to spell it correctly. Also hardly any more pointless than you trying to answer questions posed to other people, and answering wrongly.

Threw fiver e/w on Sean o'hair today @ 33's. I know it's throwing money away but I am used to that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Sabbatini is walking away with it now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭Fursttimer

Sabbatini has a 50% win record when entering the final round in the lead. 4 wins from 8. New putter is working great for him

Jerry Kelly has only won twice on 50+ occasions when entering the final round within 5 of the lead.

I have backed Yang ;) but Sabbatini looks solid and is a proven winner.

He'll see this out pretty comfortably.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Great final round from Gmac. 64 to tie the tournament record.
Hopefully the wind will pick up a bit more and he could end up in the top 5.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,550 ✭✭✭Myksyk

Getting interesting now. Sabbatini has thrown his 5 shot lead.. Just two in it now going to 15.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,550 ✭✭✭Myksyk

Ooh, Yang is turning the screw. Brilliant shot to 18in on the par three 15th.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,550 ✭✭✭Myksyk

Fair dues to Sabbatini. Great birdie on 16 to regain ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Nice to see the coverage being basically abondoned right before Yang hits his tee shot to 17.
