Zen cart Restrict number of discounts to one per order

Hi, Anyone know if there's a way to limit the number of discounts that a customer can use to 1 per order? I.e If I use a promo code I can't avail of free shipping. I would have thought this would be an out-of-the-box feature? Thanks, John
