It has been suggested to me that my snacking habits are generally average to poor and that would be holding me me back.

Some one suggested that if I want to snack make myself a protein shake.

I generally have one in the morning after the gym and if I'm playing football in the evening. I would have lots of tuna/chicken during the week.

Is it bad to have to much protein like it is too many calories?

To answer your question: Protein definitely contains calories so if you're trying to lose weight you need to consider that.

It is possible to get too much protein in your diet if you have underlying kidney issues.

If your diet is poor, consider snacking on fruit (and / or veg).
