Food that compliments increased activity levels?

    Mods, if you think this should be moved to the nutrition section, please do, couldn't decide between there or the exercise section as it has to do with exercising in a way.

    I was talking to a guy at the weekend who told me that now that I'm exercising more & working on the couch to 5k plan, that eating more garlic would help my immune system and keep me from getting run down as a result of all the exercise. I know protein is important when you're exercising and have high activity levels, but it got me wondering what else is good for helping the body when you're activity levels increase?

    In short id read the stickies over in the nutrition forum and here to get agood basic understanding and to work out your cals and how much pro/cabrs/fat you should eat.
