This Cena vs Rock thing is really overshadowing the WWE Title match with Miz.Its getting to the stage where wwe are treating Miz as a afterthought as Champion when Cena seems to be more worried about what The Rock thinks about him.

Cena, storyline-wise, has told The Rock to fúck off because he needs to concentrate on Miz.

we'll see what happens, and WWE has a bad history in terms of this sort of thing, but i have every faith that Miz will be made look a threat to Cena.

i hope it doesn't overshadow the title aspect, and Miz, to be fair is getting airtime. he cut a promo on Rocky, and then was in the Main Event, screwing Cena over. at the moment he's being built as a legit champion; what with the clean win over Bryan.

i wouldn't worry about Miz. i'm pretty sure WWE are all over him. i think Cena will win at Mania, but i don't think it's going to make Miz look like a chump a la Jericho v Triple H, where even with no leg Hunter killed him at WM X8.

Miz has been built up well lately what I was getting at was all the hype tonite is for the Hinted return of The Rock & what his response to Cena.I guess what i'm saying is The Rock is totally overshadowing the entire thing.

In fairness, the way last week was booked, Miz is finally not looking like he needs to cheat to win - cleanly winning the tag championship and shoving it in Cena's face, screwing him for the loss - being the main heel,he needs to make sure Cena doesn't hold any gold, and I thought he did a great job last week. He was on the face team, vs the Corre, and still managed to come out with a bigger reaction of hate from the crowd by the end of it.

I genuinely think that Rock is going to be the Referee in their match at WM, considering all 3 have cut promo's on each other now... It seems to be leading that way to me!

I think the Rock/Cena thing can help Miz look stronger. Cena is being distracted by Rock which means Miz can sneak in and take Cena down more over the next few weeks.

WWE still have 5-6 weeks to build Miz as a credible kryptonite to SuperCena. As Barrington said, the friction between Rock/Cena will make Miz look more likely to retain. He does need to interject himself though; as opposed to being an afterthought. That said WWE have been booking him as such since he won the world title; despite the adequate TV time he hasn't been able to win clean in general. (thanks Orton)

Right now not many will pay to see Cena/Miz as it's too obvious a blow-out with Cena winning. It's not the way I'd go about it but anything that lowers the liklihood of Cena beating Miz is a good thing.

Tonight, WWE is broadcasting this week's edition of Raw live from The HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. While no matches have been announced for tonight's show, both Triple H and The Undertaker are advertised to appear.
Additionally, The Rock and John Cena and have been having an internet back-and-forth teasing a possible Rock appearance on Raw, however nothing has been confirmed.

Surprised Rock has the time to be on facebook going on about PW. He's usually far to busy to bother with us poor aul PW fans.

He's on the payrole until Mania then its Bye,Bye Birdie.I will enjoy it while I can.At least he isn't staying around for ages like a fart on a airplane. Foley was seen a bit too often when he left & wouldn't stay gone for long, every time he came back his pop got quieter & quieter.

Do you have to píss over everything he says or does in the few weeks he is back? Just judge his appearances on their merits.

I agree PK. Can't we just enjoy the time Rock spends with us regardless of the CeNation? Whatever your feelings about him he's made Cena deliver his best promo in years.

Didn't mean it to come across like a strong attack on you, was more a general sigh towards how polarised the arguments can become. The Rock shouldn't be a victim of the Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks stuff!

VT or live, it'll be great to have more Rock tonight!

I'm also really interested in how WWE continue with Cena and Miz after last week. Would love if it was last week Cena again :)

Would love more Sheamus v Bryan and hopefully there's a match there for Mania, I have a feeling they could put on a classic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I agree Miz is being overshadowed here but he's not on Rock/Cena level and if it gets the public interested then the industry will benefit overall. Personally I'm more excited about this feud than anything the WWE have done in years. I really hope there's a match at next year's Mania.

I'm worried for Sheamus though. I wonder if his run of being made look like a fool continues tonight.

I reckon he will interrupt an early HHH promo, then we get a match between them at the end where Hunter wins clean in which I think and hope will be quite a competitive match.

would like him to cost HHH the match with Taker at Mania although I'm aware that would never happen

I hope they don't end the feud with a throwaway match. I'd love Sheamus and HHH to have another feud considering he put HHH out of action, so I hope they save that match for a later date on a PPV.

If HHH is done at Mania we'll get the throwaway match. A pick your poison style thing resulting in Trip vs Seamus and Taker vs Kane

Spoiler for tonight about a possible match type.
Reports are that there is a steel cage hanging above the ring....

From a Seamus point of view, it'd be much better if Taker interferes before the end of any prospective match..... although losing clean to HHH certainly wouldn't be as bad as losing clean to Henry.

Its sad that they work hard to build sheamus up and he's finally getting viewed as a proper main eventer and they completely burry him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,604 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Sheamus has gone from the big bad guy who put HHH out to that in a matter of months, it's just not believable and horrible booking.

Trip's is well and truly back, bury the rest of the roster verbally and then bury Sheamus physicaly,a good nights work for the game!
