Was I A Bit Of An Arse In This Situation ?

Before I describe the situation I do think he was an arse in this situation but just want a few second opinions.


Right I'm 16 and I'm on Facebook. I was trawling through FB. on my iPod Touch and all I see on it is my friend (we'll call him D) posting on other peoples' walls by describing them with every letter in their name ( John- jovial, optimistic, happy, nice. Get the idea ?)

Anyway, this is all I see on the homepage and I get kinda sick seeing every Tom, Dick and Harry being described as 'awesome' and a 'legend', so I post to D's wall telling him to stop doing these stupid statuses so that he won't post on everyone's wall about how great they are and I do it half serious half joking.

I return to FB. a few hours later to see D comment back sarcastically that he'll what he wants and then comment angrily basically telling me to fu ck off.
I then realise he's actually blocked me as a result of what I said.

Now, we're not even close friends and I don't talk to him much in school so it doesn't bother me much if he doesn't consider us friends but I'm just wondering who do ye think is the arse in this situation.

Me or him ?

(I think he overreacted and it's him that's the arse but of course I would.)

If your not that great a friend anyways why didnt you just block him and then you wouldnt have to read all his sheyite.

This is why facebook should be shut down with immediate effect! People wasting energy worrying about inconsequential online faux pas that consume their lives to the point where they need to expend more energy to go back online to another site to find out if they f*cked up on the previous site!!!
