Yes I wont be counting my chickens too early yet, I would say the pensioners were all out in force today and they would lie straight to your face saying sure Fianna Fail wrecked the country but behind you back the sneaky little ones will vote for FF til they die.

I hope they are convicted and sent away for many a year with all their little PS and banker mates.

There was a bloke on Primetime on Tuesday who said (and I am paraphrasing) that he hoped that FG would be elected but that he would probably vote FF.

Like that time someone said it was going to probably be really cold on the 15th of Feb, because his mate was right the last time Met Eirinn were wrong and had a feeling?

I've got a better idea. Lets say we found the image of Jesus in a cappuccino in starbucks, that will distract the grey crowd for a few hours.

Im going to vote Fianna Fáil. I honestly believe that Enda Kenny is just a manipulator of the ignorant and uneducated. Imagine voting for someone preaches about Fianna Fáil's lies and secrecy and then refuses to answer the 6bn question on cuts the other night.

People might not like to admit it but Fianna Fáil are the only real party with a chance of getting this country back on track

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,595 ✭✭✭bonerm

Actually I'm starting to worry that they've won now. When I saw there that someone had voted for that gob****e Healey Rae Jr I figure anything is possible. Oh well, it makes no diff either way I suppose. So who are FF gonna make a deal with this time?

I think the Man Boy Love Association would feel that they would have a PR nightmare by aligning with FF at this point.

lets be honest here, anyone who seeks power isnt really to be trusted, they're all as stupid and bent as the next whether it be FF or FG or Labour - they just lie to us about different things....

I'm fairly sure that FF will get a bigger % of the vote than some people expect. Their election machine is impressive. I cant account for it though.

I think a good 10 years on the opposition benches wouldn't do any harm, but I think they will manage to worm their way back in before that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,163 ✭✭✭✭Liam Byrne

Unfortunately I'd say we could be in for a nasty shock.....The Examiner today had a few interviews with people re their intended vote, and I think it was 3 out of 6 that still had the blinkers on.

Enough to make my stomach turn and wonder why, but hey......that's the joys of living in a democracy, and it'll make emigrating easier if that's the type you leave behind.

I'd actually go mad if Fianna Fail won the election. Imagine that?
Not me going mad obviously, but Fianna Fail retaining power.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,704 ✭✭✭squod

There'd be black flags raised on the streets. No kidding folks, some people are ready to spill blood if FF get back into power.

I voted strategically to make sure the far-left got nowhere near the dail. So my votes went to Fianna Fail and Fianna Gael as my top 4.

So you voted for the party that brought down a prosperous country and turned it into a wreck for generation to come.
    Why?
Because you dont like the look of Enda Kenny.

    Jasuzz...

This would be funny if it was not so serious :(

No fan of Enda Kenny (or the rest of his party) be I, but as bad as Enda and his crew may be, there's no reasonable justification for voting to re-elect the current goverment. The party deserves to be wiped from the electoral map, and hopefully will be. The fact that some people apparently still feel that this joke of a political party is going to get us "back on track" after they bankrupted the country (again) is horrifically depressing.

And hell, if you're concerned about Enda Kenny vote for Labour or something, there is more than one alternative.

I think Juicy Jellies are the sweets of choice for that generation. Easy on the dentures.

Anyway, the OP is right. Fianna Fail is bussing the ancient nuns and retirement home residents to the polling station here. They are going to get way more votes than the polls have suggested.

In 15 years I reckon we'll get start getting useful results when the civil war generation are history.

i'd like to see ff in opposition, with a fg majority... most proactive dail possible, and thats what we need

a bit off topic but how easy would it be for a party to put their own people in the polling stations and after the polling has closed at 10pm fill up some of the unused voting papers and pop em in the boxes???????tick off the noshows yerself and use their papers to vote in multiples!!!!!!

Impossible unless an election ombudsman who is present at each station is in on it as well. It wouldnt surprise me if the far-left have an attempt at it though.
