True. I would say I eat my soup, even though I drink it. I suppose it has to do with using a spoon - if it was straight from the carton, I would say I was drinking it.

Now, I know this one absolute wreck of a person who chews their soup (not even the chunky kind - just regular soup).

Saying that, my favourite soup in the whole wide world is Avonmore's tomato soup. I would almost chew that just to savour it more. I'd never admit to it though...

I avoid saying either. Usually say "let me finish having my soup" or "let me finish my soup".

My favourite soup is the chunky avonmore vegetable soup. Real thick but gorgeous stuff. I love soup though. Love all the vegetable soups except tomato soup.

Cully and Sully make great soup.

I love soup so much I have some everyday after school.

I make a prettttttttty biiiiiiiitchin lentil soup.

I've been ill the last few days, ill and lonesome and bored. I decided to make soup with HOMEMADE stock. I made too much though and now the big pot in the kitchen, as well as several smaller pots are filled with lentil soup.

My mam wants to throw it out. But it's kind of like the soup was my friend, there for me when no one else was and throwing it out would make me sad.

    PLUS, it's delish wha?

Don't throw the stock out.. that'd be a crime!!

Just freeze it in smaller containers - it'll keep for at least 6 months.

Make into something else, like a quiche or a flan.

My theory is, every time you cook something into something else, you extend its eat-by-day by at least a week.

Unless... Is that how you got ill in the first place?

I just MAY be a strung out hippie. Ever thought of THAT my friend? I'm into lentils in a big way. Not as much as chickpeas though. Those scrummy b*astards make my life worth living

I'm confused as to how I would incorporate a spicy lentil soup into an egg dish...I was considering using it to stuff a red pepper, or perhaps pour over nachos

Now. I WOULD do that. I've filled several. But apparently "mam" says I can't use all the containers in the house. What.a.Biiiiiiiiiitch.

Dude, if the chocolate soup is the chocolate soup I make for myself, it's oh-so-good. Basically just melt any decent bar of chocolate you like, but pour in a small bit of milk or cream and let is gently melt.

I then like to drop a small scoop of ice cream into it and let that melt into it. OMNOMNOM

No matter what I make it all turns into some kind of curry. I love that stuff. Made a delicious coconut carrot curry the last day. Been eating it since. It makes a great soup/stew type thing that can be eaten without rice or any of that. Some slight alteration and lump in loads of veg. There's some in the fridge right now! Not feeling hungry yet, and its tomorrows lunch. I've got to stay strong.

    Lentils are friends.

I don't really know how it would become a quiche. Put an egg in it. Have you got a food processor? Experiment. Bread is great for binding. Add garlic - garlic is important. Put the results in an oven. Apologise to your mum in advance.

There are some really odd soups in Asia. Not sure if you would be deprived from not eating these though...

    Deer Placenta Soup (China)
    Cod Sperm Soup (Japan)
Tiger Penis Soup (most of Asia)
Blood Soup - raw duck blood with nuts (Vietnam)

You eat soup. Not because you use a tool to do so (as you can drink milk, lemonade, scotch, piss, etc using a straw or a spoon) but because we don't actually consider soup to be a drink. Hence, we don't drink it.

    We eat it.

We don't consider a sandwich to be a drink either. We could make it into a drink, if we wanted to, but who on earth would do something like that?

    Me. That's who.

    Soup is a drink.

    Actually it's not

Yep... that'd be very similar. I use milk & double cream, bittersweet chocolate & some sugar and usually cinnamon.

Sometimes I'll add some chilli, mint or toasted caramalised nuts. Depends whats' in the cupboard.
