Anyone got an idea where I could buy - new or used - a Teeter Dex II inversion table? The shipping from the UK is very high but cant find a local agent here or in NI

    Thanks

    http://www.welltech.ie/inversion-tables-teeter-inversion-table/gym-equipment/

They are the sole distributors in Ireland as far as I know - based in Dublin 12.

    Hope that helps,

    Paul

Not teeter brand, but might be worth a look Inversion Table Visually they look pretty similar and Irish Lifting is usually good quality equipment.

***Edit: Just came across this Irish Distributer for teeter

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation what so ever with Irish Lifting or Welltech. I just use Irish companies where possible ;)

A cheaper alternative is a yoga sling (they go under several names). I used my dip belt as a yoga sling and it worked well, though its a good ironmind belt rated to stupid loads.

    You hang like this

I posted about this on a gymnastics forum and one of the mods who I think is a yoga instructor said of my hip belt idea (G boots being gravity/inversion boots)
I honestly think that type of inversion is much better than the G boots.

Ideally you want the belt around the sacrum. If you look at the first picture you posted, you'll she has a healthy lumbar curve that the strap forces. If you tend to have a jammed lower back or sacrum, this little bit of accentuation to the lumbar lordosis will often be very relieving.

Thanks guys, have been chasing welltech for weeks and they (1) dont return calls & (2) wont sell me a single piece of equipment as they only do gyms etc..I did say to them that otherwise I'd be going to the UK and would prefer to spend money here - but no joy as of yet

The piece of Teeter kit I'm after - due to a back injury - is an extension machine, Dex II, rather than a straightforward table, you hang on by the hips rather than the ankles

spoke with both the companies you mention & in the end they were utterly useless. The teeter equipment is totally overpriced in Europe, health clubs at home wanted to charge 75stg shipping plus 360stg for the unit( this would make the unit twice the US price) shipped, where it is 350 dollars on amazon; found another company - the gym company with an irish free phone number who would ship for 25 stg.

Ended up buying a used backrevolution table on ebay which will work out at 99stg shipped from the UK. TBH I really did want a teeter machine, but not at any price & the feeling we are being fleeced

    Hope this helps

Totally agree, I've just looked at the figures and mine would be similar
    EP950 Inversion Table
    £409.95 + Delivery £75.90 = Euro 555
Amazon US equivalent = Euro 280

They'd seriously want to get their act together.
