Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    OK now if you've logged in you should be able to join a server. Now to make so people can log in. #onestepatatime less than a minute ago via Twitter for Mac

    whenever I log in it just does black and nothing happens. I can't even play single player. This better be temporary :mad:

    This happens when you have AVG (well did for me)

    You need to go and turn off the resident shield, then open minecraft. Then you can turn it back on and make a path list to ignore the minecraft file.

    AVG just things its a virus..so make sure its not in your virus vault

    Am on Mac, downloaded the new one yesterday and another new one today, as per Notch's tweet. Still no joy.

    I have a copy of the old one here somewhere, may try it.

    i know old one works, cheers cherry, but its damn gay.... it deletes my texture pack.... :(
