I have bought a numark DJ io and i want to know if i can use it with itunes on my mac.
I do not need to mix or anything complicated , just from itunes on mac to DJ io and then to amp also need to use a mic for introducing songs.
So can the DJ io be used with itunes without using any complicated dj software.

    You can't DJ with iTunes.

There are however, lots of semi-decent free DJing software out there. Mixx is an example.

    ya thanks for reply.
I was trying mixx and djay and virtual dj but they all seem too complicated for what i want to do , which is just to get music from my mac to amp with mic for announcing song titles .
I dont need to cue or mix songs thats why i thought itunes was easy for doing this.
But do i have to use dj software with the dj io or can i bypass the dj io and go direct from mac to amp with mic plugged into amp also .

    No.

Its a soundcard, you can use whatever you like with it.

Mixmeister might be along the lines of what you want, though tbh what you want is a media player and a playlist.
