It does. And the iPhone. It just doesn't play music from the phone.

Yep! 100% (well, maybe 99.9 in retrospect - posts edited to show I'm a tad slow) iPhone does work. See page 2 of thread.

There's a big list of iPods on the box. No iPhones.
And I tried my 3gs last night when I bought it just for kicks.

No joy.

review seems to think you can use iphone. there is two other types i think.this is the non usb one?

Have you tried using the iPhone in Airplane Mode, I have to do that with a dock I bought a while ago

It appears I was a bit premature.

It DOES work with my iPhone 3gs;
it gives an initial error message saying:
this system is not compatible with this device...

BUT

Once you clear that message on the phone screen,
enter the iPod app, hey presto... It works!!!

/hangs head in shame!

Reserved yesterday and picked it up today. Looks and sounds good - although the bass is a bit lacking, but it sounds by no means tinny. iPod navigation can be done via the remote too, which is something other docks/HiFi's can lack. For €60 it's definitely a bargain. Cheers OP!

Cracking sound out of it really, and fantastic as I've an absolute shedload of spare compatible iPods.

Love that you can control the iPod with the remote control, as Schorpio mentioned.. something that's lacking in most iPod docks.

The iPod Connector is recessed in to fit an iPod / iPhone so doubtful an iPad will fit it.

Ok - I've just bought this today from Argos. Confirmed it's working with iPhone4.
It'll prompt a warning saying this device wasn't approve blah blah, will affect signal blah blah.. just dismiss it.
Argos has it on sale for £50.

Totally agree! Listening to my one now in kitchen. Love the full function iPod remote. So much better than the basic docking station we had and all for €59! Genuine deal
