does anyone know of a crowd called "<snip>" in budapest, hungary.
they also have a consultation office in dublin.
i would be interested to hear of anyones experiences(good or bad) with them.

    thanks,

    quick update on my thread.
decided not to go abroad simply for the hassle of travel.
found a very good dental practice in newry.
had a consultation and recommended some of the treatments of the dublin dentist but not all.
the total quoted price i was given in newry was 1/3 of the dublin dentist.
they were friendly and helpfull and i will recommend them to every i know.
there were a number of people in the waiting room from the south who were willing to travel to newry for treatment.
the general consensus being we are being ripped off in the republic.

That is the general consensus in the waiting room, but you are all wrong. Are you getting like for like? Is everything cheaper in the north (apart from petrol)?

how can you say everybody is wrong.
is every southern dentist giving like for like.
it pays to shop around and people are shopping up north.

davdvn lets wait untill you treatment is complete (seeing as you have only been once so far for a consultation) for a while before lashing out the reccomendations, dental work is a long term investment and only with time will you see if it the bargain you are assuming at the moment.

half the patient in my waiting room are less talkative and enthusatic as they are back for remedial treatment from dental tourism.

Quite simply because I know more about the dental business than they do. It's fine shopping up north when you are buying the same for lower prices. In certain things, you may not be. Like dentistry.
