Hello, I have got windows 7 in the last 3 weeks ( windows 7 professional 64 bit ) and by and large all going well

    I have a Dell e6410

However, I notice one problem, my mouse freezes sometimes. The freezing seems to happen only during the Windows 7 "aero peek" window preview function on the taskbar.

So, ill go down to my taskbar where I have multiple instances of for example excel open, ill hover my mouse over the excel icon and it brings up all the excel files open, I can then select which particular excel file I want to open, but alot of the time the mouse freezes here for about 5 seconds when I try to go to the excel file I want to open

I have my taskbar buttons set as "always combine, hide labels "

Any ideas as to why this is happening ?

Have you tried switching off that whole Aero thing.. Generally just seems to cause problems in my experience..

Or you could turn off the Aero Peek alone by right clicking on the taskbar at the bottom then click properties and unchecking Use Aero Peek To Preview The Desktop
