If it was student life, shouldn't you be licking tequila from a fellow student's stomach about now?

Insomnia. I usually stay awake until about 7am, and then if am lucky sleep until about 1 or 2pm. Sometimes it would get to about 7 or 8am and I'd just think to myself, I might aswell stay awake now, and go to bed early that night. But it never goes to plan, and come 1 or 2am the next night am still awake. Last year I stayed awake for 72 hours.

Do you use a console late at night? Or your laptop directly before sleeping? The artificial light keeps you awake. What you need is some melatonin and a good roll in the hay!

Mate that's not right staying awake that long, what the hell was going on that you had to stay up for 3 days ?

I know people that have done it cause of that snow blow stuff, it's been unheard of now for a while since the headshops are gone..

The snow blow is still there but looks to me there mixing the ****e out of it.

I have had trouble sleeping for about 3 years and only started playing computer games about 1 and a half years ago, so I doubt its the games, but it probably wouldnt help.

Its true of even a bedroom light. The worst thing you can do before bed is round off the night with a few hours of Xbox/PS3 - the blearing light coupled with your brain on a high means sleep will be difficult for an hour or two afterwards. The laptop is the next worst thing - the artificial light tricks your brain into thinking its daytime, meaning you only feel the worse for wear generally when you pry yourself away from the screen. Of course I realise I am engaging in this right now!

so true... i find i cant sleep unless i wind down from games for about an hour... usually a movie or bit of tv/music helps wind down

but since i am working nights i find im sleeping 3-4hrs max a day now... i volunteered for nights... may as well get paid more money to be awake at night.

Make sense, I always have trouble sleeping at night if say I have to be up at 8am. So my plan would be come home go to bed at 11pm, but I usually just use the laptop before bed and just don't feel tired.

RTE 2 have a double episode of Quincy ME at about 4am. I watch it every week until 6am. Quincy makes Horatio Caine from CSI Miami look like an amatuer.

Wisdom tooth pain. It's been coming and going for the past week. Even when it's not actively hurting me, my jaw hurts from all the previous hurt. I would not wish it on anyone.

Sorry to hear of your troubles - believe it or not it could be worse. You still have a roof over your head, and more importantly you can get up tomorrow and walk (I presume...?) to the cinema, and watch it with full eyesight. Having your full faculties should uplift you if only for a second. Forget about your friends if that's the way they treat you, not friends to begin with.

Don't jump! Plenty to live for, can give you decent resources to turn to by pm if you want ...

went out saturday night, dunno how or where I was or how I got home, woke up at about 3 on sunday afternoon, was awake till 8 am yesterday morning, and slept till 6 o clock yesterday, so this is me now feeling tired, but thinkin I'm either gonna sleep now an sleep all day again, or push thru till tonight an hope for the best, it seems to be a never ending cycle, I had only got my sleep back on track till I went out on saturday.. So I'm thinkin I'm gonna stay away from the demon alcohol for awhile.. It does me no favours..

I really wish I could last until tonight so i'll wreck myself out but I just know come 3-4pm i'll then be wrecked.
