Diet question...before and after gym

    Hi guys,

I have been going to the gym for the past 6 months or so and really making great strides. I just need to regiment my diet to lose more body fat and I know diet is critical in this. I usually go to the gym 4-5 times per week, 3 weight days with cardio at the end, cardio alone one or two days.

I go to the gym in the morning, usually around 11am as I work at 2:30pm. My biggest problem is knowing what to eat before and after the gym at these times. I am thinking of buying whey protein powder to have directly after the gym, what would you recommend I eat before and after the gym.

I am living abroad now, I used to eat porridge in the morning, but can't find any here. I also don't like muesli, it's raisins I don't like. I'm not a fussy eater and would eat most things, except raisins!!

Any advice or tips would be great......also could you recommend a good protein powder?

Wouldn't worry about the protein powder unless you're finding recovery an issue. I get mine from bulkpowders.co.uk and its good stuff.

As for muesli..... Maybe make your own in batches. Very easy to do.

Apologies for brevity. On the phone.
