I'm older than you, but believe me I, and many others my age, see nothing wrong with being a virgin at 27 - it's unusual, but not as unusual as you think. And I don't think people would slag you off as much as you think they would either. People who'd belittle a virgin (apart from a bit of good natured banter) tend to just be frat-boy types.

Only one and she's nearly 23 but I admire her for it, she's waiting for the right guy.

I really dont get why denying yourself one of the most basic things humans do is to be admired

its like admiring an anorexic for waiting for the right food....

all thatll happen to her is shell get to 35 , have still been with nobody then post a thread in PI about how nobody wants her

Lul:pac: That's it Dudess get the boot in!

I can't think of any friends who are off the top of my head but tbh I don't go around asking everyone so maybe who knows, but I doubt it.
I think my parents are though.

Maybe it's that the friend made a choice and is sticking to their decision. It isn't affecting anyone else so good luck to them.

Or she will meet the right guy next year. Who knows. Its up to her, as is promiscuity for someone else. Horses for courses.

I asked one of my 'hotter' girl friends whom I thought was a virgin, could I have her virginity, she said no, but at least she gave me the box it came in.

Even though it's a basic human need, some people don't like the idea of doing it with someone with whom they don't have a deep connection. Whether that's natural or societally/culturally derived, I don't know.

Reckon ladies who aren't virgins will sometimes pass themselves off as one whereas with the menfolk it's the opposite.
And since nobody answered it when it was raised earlier, how long does it take to regain virgin status?

None of my friends over 30 would be virgins ( kids are a giveaway ) and about 30% would have lost it and got laid in Ireland at some time over that period .

I really dont go prying into the details of my mates sex lives (or lack thereof) and if I were to do so they would probably feed me a crock of shyte (and I really wouldnt blame them)

I get accused of it the odd time by a mate, on account of only having slept with another woman. I am 29

I'm 18 and I'd say about 30% of my friends are still virgins.

I was 22 when I lost the oul virginity. I think girls tend to more 'wait for the right guy'. Dont realy know if its d right thing 2 do tho. The more u wait, the higher ur standards get, waiting for this perfect guy, what if he never comes? I was hapy I was with a guy that I realy trusted tho.

That generally isn't a problem for most guys their first time.

Just to say, im actually a super flirty person, and would have been known in college for being a guys girl and being very confident and flirty with guys. Yet there is a huge difference with what comes across to people and who you actually are. I was well able to talk to guys but I was very sexually naive and quite frightened of sex I guess. I don't think I did more than kiss a lad til I was 20. I remember telling the girls at college I was a virgin and they wudnt believe me! But u never know what people are really like..

Most of my friends are still virgins. I think they're enjoying their life first before having to worry about finding a partner, worrying about pregnancy and STI's.

Can't say I blame them.

Sex is one of the most enjoyable things in life, they are missing out TBH.

I think only 1 friend is a virgin, but he doesn't admit it.
