What are the tastiest nuts that are also healthy?

I assume when nuts are recommended for Vitamin E, Iron and good fats they are not talking about the ready salted nuts in the local pub.

What are your favorite healthy nuts?

Can you recommend a health store in Dublin city center that sell any unusual nuts?

It depends on what you want, but I reckon almonds have to be one of the nut superstars.

Brazil nuts are great for a selenium boost (and Irish soil is notoriously low in selenium) but they do pack in the calories fast.

Yes, dry roasted peanuts in pubs tend to be at the bottom of the nut pecking order.

Nourish in Wicklow street sell small packets of Munchy Seeds which I reckon are worth carrying. Fallon & Byrne, also in Wicklow Street have all sorts of spiced nuts - pricy though.

I reckon your best bet would be almonds, cashews, macadamias, brazil nuts, and pecans.

Personally almonds would be my favorite for snacking.

Macademias and walnuts are my fave, followed closley by almonds and Cashews.

I like pine nuts and brazil nuts but tend to lack the ability to moderate restraint in eating these ones!

Holland & Barrett sometimes do 2 for 1 on all stock. I go in and fill my basket with the big bags of nuts and seeds. I throw a few handfuls in a ziplock bag and carry them around with me for snacking.

The big bags last for ages if you're only eating say 10 almonds at a time.

I'm a devil for unsalted Bombay mix!!!
