Also you know if you type your password in to a comment it'll be automatically spoilered and deleted? Amazing stuff.

No way, I don't believe that.

If I were to type *********** it would just show up as ***********.

    OMG!

we could do a trial for a week and no one use the Thank button.

First you want to take away our "Thanks" button, what's next? Will the "thumb's up" button be next on your crazy-ass hit list? Who will you have to put on the chopping block after that? This harmless little fellow
    > :pac:

    Where will it end?

Oh, I see you have less than 5,000 posts. You see, when you reach 5,000 posts a second, similar button appears beside the one you can see. It's subtle but very effective.

What about the insertion of a 'thumbs down' button?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,818 ✭✭✭Minstrel27

    Come on it sucks :pac:

You are no better than the Thumbs Up brigade on Youtube.

Everyone likes knowing if people agree with their post sometimes, but other times people just like to get thanked off for pleasure.

    Or... copy and paste:

    javascript:void($("[title='Thanks']").click());

into your URL bar and press enter to thank everyone!

heh... on another forum I frequent we have a thanks, agree, disagree, groan, Pie (dunno, community meme that annoys me) a Hug and, my favourite, a Go fu*k yourself with a rusty screwdriver button.

it's great because you can annoy the people you dislike without having to even post :)

I found a pic of the OP whore after a quick google :P

It'd make more sense to be able to switch seeing thanks off in the options. That way you wouldn't have to see graphic proof of the absence of popularity.

I think the thanks button is great.
While it may result in a lot of thanks whoring, I find that sometimes when I go to look at the post of the day it isn't actually from the you laugh you lose thread.

I find that the post of of the day serves great purpose as if there is a real member doing something for a good cause, it usually gets post of the day.
I wouldn't have learned about the cause other than for it being post of the day.

You cant see it 'til you have twenty (i think) posts.. And the irony of this is that you can't even thank my answer ;)
