I'd bring back Cadbury's Smiley bars..

It was like an orange flavoured chomp I think?

My mate is obsessed with getting them back on the market. So I'd love if she actually got one!

Also, Wispabite's... They were absolutely amazing!! No one remembers them though! :(

ALSO.. Does anyone remember Cadbury's Strawberry Buttons

No one else I've ever spoken to does, but I distinctly do..

Anyone know if you can still get the liqorice pipes with the pink sprinkles on the end ??

Oh gooodness ViceVersas, much much love for those, I'd LOVE them back really would. They were just divine!

Currychips not a fan, but I do recall them. And I remember those Smiley Cadbury Chomp things I think.

Don't recall strawberry buttons though... or wispa bites

Strawberry buttons and Wispabite's are only gone about 6 years..

Can't even get a pic of the strawberry buttons but they were definitely available for a period of time.

This is all the info I can find on them.. :(

Liquorice Pipes appear to be available online, on candy shops etc. Probably not too cheap if you can get them posted here.

Vice Versas beat Top Deck I say!!!

I remember buying Eat A Yolks, they were 5p or something, cheapish chocolate but for some reason I used to really like them. Found them a couple of years ago, awful!

Eat a yolks are still yummy even though they're not as yellow, they're 15c each now.

My all time fave are giant smarties, so much better than the normal ones.
My mother rang me the other day and said she'd bought me a big bag of giant smarties, I could hardly contain my excitement then she arrived at my house with minstrels WTF? She knows the difference between smarties and minstrels....very strange....anyway bring back giant smarties!!

Been trying to think of the name of biscuits with icing on them. they were either half pink / half yellow, half pink / half brown, and one other combination which I cant remember. I used to lick the icing off (took a while) and then eat the biscuit. And no they're not called Party Rings they didnt have a hole in the middle.

Anyone remember Hula Hoops XL BEEF AND MUSTARD

    They were ridiculously gorgeous!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,429 ✭✭✭✭star-pants

LOL at the 'giant smarties' being minstrels :)

I know the biscuits you're talking about gingernut - but I haven't seen them in a long time, can't for the life of me think of the name either. The half/half, and real hard icing.

Dan bars... dan bars... can't remember if you can definitely get those, I know some of the other ones are still available in some places

edit - darn K I hope your Tesco do the Caramacs or I'm in trouble lol

I had one of those on New Years Eve.. My mate's sister lives in England and she brought back a sack of them. Everyone else hated them. I only got through half of one.. Not the nicest flavour. Hard as a flippin ROCK.

It was a single-finger wafer bar, four layers with choccie cream inbetween, all covered in choc. About the size of a tunnocks caramel wafer, in purple packaging, cost 10p.;)

One word FIZZLESTICKS :D ok , i cheated 2 words!!

2p each bitd 20 used to get me through a school day.....i blame their demise on my other 20 a day habit now .

Can anyone remember the white choclate "fish n chips" (crinkle cut) , or the white choclate skulls, mice with the pink fondant filling? also came in brown but white were nicer, not like the ganky tasting white choclate we get now.I'm talking about back in the day when a chomp was called "trigger",starburst were Opal Fruits and a snickers was called "Marathon"

And what about these, they were chewing gum in the shape of a record and you got a flourescent (green, yellow, pink or blue) plastic badge with a band name (UB40,KISS,THIN LIZZY,ULTRAVOX etc etc - :o look it was the early 80's ok lol)

Do really didn't know Starburst = Opal Fruits.

Next, you'll be looking for a marathon bar.

anyway, my one is Secret Bars. THey were only out for a while, and were epic. Sort of birds nest chocolate outer layer with soft moose inner.
