    Restaurants beaver valiently at their trade, while taxi drivers polish their steely steeds in anticipation of the impending onslaught.
    Policemen wearily prepare while journalists observingly sit on the margins, pens at the ready.
    Bands rehearse night and day while doctors and nurses await the deluge.
    The fat cats smile as they view the bottom line while florists tie and truss their way to a great day.
    The bankers rub their hands with glee, their ivory vaults bursting at the seams
    while anxious parents await the final release of the relief turning key in the door.
