Has anyone found the paper in the outside pics yet? 4 days later and I still can't find it.

I was never any good with Where's Wally books :D

Is he using the paper as a size scale or somthing? I can't think of any reason why he would do that? :) lol.

It's a great idea actually. My previous landlord is still advertising the house with pictures from 7 years ago when it was freshly painted with new furniture! (It was not in as nice condition as the pics when we moved in, but I let it go).

Is it bad that I think a lot of these arent half bad? To live in I mean, it's mostly the prices outside of the obvious shed's in the middle of a field type deals that kill them for me.

An awful flat, Doesn't appear to even have a window. Possibly has a skylight though but still what a kip.

That one is terrifying. The mattress isn't even flat - I wouldn't even want to know how old it is. Even the cupboard door doesn't shut properly. It is an absolute dump but I guarantee some poor student will end up having that as his bachelor pad.

I'm afraid to ask where the toilet is... The answer is probably "anywhere".

I think I was in that about 10 years ago. Some mates of mine lived there. Complete stoners. the place was damp and filthy.

Of course i may be mistaken since i was stoned too.

I was never inside it myself but I've seen worse belonging to him, Yea the mattress is gross and has probably been there years.

I think its behind where the sink and mirror is, Its obviously so small the mirror and sink need to be outside it !!

The flat underneath it is known in the area as the the HellFlat, Nobody ever lasted long there without cracking up.

This, when done correctly, is fantastic and makes perfect sense - my old apartment in korea had this and it is a great idea.

However, in this pic it looks cheap and shoddy, and a way to cut out the cost of installing a proper shower

Look at the filth of the wall just above the bed. :(

Actually, this is something I've noticed in a lot of ads for places on DAFT - grubby marks on the walls just above the bed or above a sofa. It's disgusting. Can the landlords not see they are putting people off even viewing? I mean, this is often in otherwise nice places - obviously the filthy walls are not really the main concern in that hellhole in the link.

the base of the bed is manky dirty too.

suppose it could be rented for a brothel maybe.

I think any person would slowly go mad living in a place like that, to be honest i would prefer to live on the street.

yeah me too. Its so bad they even tried to hide the crying chair...:(

Ha Ha There actually was one in a flat in that house few years ago. And when she moved out her clients were still coming up in the nights and knocking on the window.

Yea Its awful. I can't understand how anyone could rent that out to a fellow human, The only thing I'll say is that those types of bedsits generally get rented out to people who just don't care and would possibly wreck a better place anyway. The similar sized flats underneath it and in the adjoining house have had nothing but trouble.

We went to see a place that was £300 per month... it was a 2 bedroom flat above a chinese... thought it would be worth a look since we were in the area... it was certainly worse!

You had to close the front door before you could go into the kitchen since it was behind the door. 2 people couldnt pass eachother in the kitchen. There was no central heating, just an old electric fire in the sitting room. It stank of death!

We couldn't help laughing when we saw it and quickly left. Needless to say I will never eat in the chinese downstairs either.

This was about 3 months ago. I noticed the other day that the flat above it has a tree growing through the roof and a branch of seemingly the same tree through the window next door!
