I'm just wondering if it's alright to lift after rugby training or matchs as long as my joints are not sore at all, my muscles will generally be a bit sore though.

Are we talking about directly after training?

I dunno about you but after a match im fooked, the next day though ya defo fire away. The muscle soreness should go away after a good warmup anyways. Lift before training if you can... going into the gym covered in muck wont go down well with the staff.
