Three Like Home (UK) - E173 fail

    Any ideas on why an unlocked ex-Meteor E173 will connect to 3ireland.ie APN at home but not in the UK.

    At home the LED flashes green > flash blue > stable blue (connect); in the UK LED flashes green > flash blue > flash green again on connection attempt (connect fail). Tried the UK APN too with same results.

    OS is Ubuntu Linux.

    Not a clue unless its something to do with the specific mast you were connecting to. I did read some time back about a guy with the same problem just the other way around. He was on 3Like Home from the UK and he found several masts here that would not work with the UK APN where other masts here worked fine.

    Other than that all I can contibute is that I have a Meteor E180 unlocked, an unlocked Vodafone E220 and an unlocked 3UK MF622 on 3Pay that have all done trips to the UK and work on 3Like Home - Windows XP and 7 OS

    Did you try the old 3ireland.ie APN in the UK?

    Tried both APN's and both in Central London and Stansted Airport too. Still works at home; before and after the trip.
