Clean food options City Centre

So, say youve finished a weights session in a gym in town, you've had your protein shake and an hour or two later its time for solids!

Where would you lot go for a cheapish lunch option in or around the city centre? I dont eat meat and usually end up getting a small salad in Cornucopia (usually their bean salad option and sprouted beans) for 4.50 or Fallon and Byrne (tuna/chickpea/veg- goes by weight) 5-6 quid or there abouts. O'Briens do a salad if you ask and have the tuna without mayo option for about 5.50 so thats ok too I guess.

These can be quite oily, good and all as oil is, but is there anywhere you feel comfortable ordering like an egg white omelette off the menu or just a plain tuna salad or some sort of protein (meatless) with clean salad? Oil can significantly increase your daily calorie intake so trying to watch that for a while.

    Thanks guys/gals,
    Doolee

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but why not prepare your own food, either the night before, or that morning and take it with you?
It'll work out alot cheaper, you can make 2/3 meals worth at a time quite easily, and most importantly, you'll know exactly whats gone into whatever it is you make.

    Hey, thanks for the reply,:)

Yeah, this is true and probably the best option but its cold these days and I though maybe the only place you could actually sit inside and get away with eating your own food might be Kylemore in Stephens Green,...if I bought a cuppa tea or something, but otherwise i guess I just like to sit and relax after a workout and let my muscles cry in anticipation of the pain they will be in for the following few days.! But deep down I know youre right. Just looking to see if anyone else does the same.
