Lads - would doing 5*5 3 times per week (M,W,F) and a session of kettle bells once a week (tue or thurs ) be a bit much ? I also cycle to work 3 days and 70k plus cycles 2 times a month ( winter months ).

    thanks for the help.

from my experience yes. I did 5X5 M/W/F and Kettlebells Tue/Thu.

I found I was bo**oxed for 5X5, now I did that in the mornings so definitley not enough recovery time from kettlebells the previous evening but for the last 2 months I have dropped the bells and just done 5X5 and I found my lifts have improved.

@RobaMerc: Best thing is to try it and see how you fair.

I train 6 days a week. Sun, Tue, Thurs is weights SS/SL compound based program. Some times 5x5, others 3x5 and others 3x8. On alternate days (Sat, Mon & Wed) I do some form of cardio/flexability or conditioning/flexability work and often use KB's for conditioning. As a 48yr old guy I can bench BW, squat 1.3 times BW and dead lift 1.6 times BW and am still improving, albeit slowly.

I believe my diet is solid and I try and get 7-8 hours sleep per night.
