lol, it seems ONYD can't count.

Still seeing as he wants to push ahead with this, i'm quite happy to discuss Rangers in their own thread.
Mind you, it wont keep me from answering to the Rangers related discussions on the Celtic thread either.

Keith: I'd go with that side.
Hopefully Weiss and Diouf perform like they did last night, if they do then there is no way Celtic will finish with 11 men.

Are there many non-Scottish Rangers supporters in the 26 counties?

More than many people think, although still a huge minority in comparison to fans of English clubs and those who support Celtic when the Premiership isnt on. ;)

There are always one or two cranks who will pick Rangers for controversy sake. But there is no organic support base. Sure they would be lynched in Ibrox.

Of course, theyd be lynched at Ibrox.

So a Dub could bring his kids to Ibrox and dring in Govan in safety?

Pull the other one chops, bells on it

Personally ive taken Irish lads over to games on two occasions, one from Donegal (aptly named Teague!) and the other from Dublin when i was at college down there.

The only time they took any abuse was when myself and the lad from Donegal ran into my Celtic supporting uncle, who felt it his duty to rip into this 16 year old lad for being "Traitorous scum".

So speaking i'm from personal experience.
You can carry on and peddle your silly little myths because at the end of the day anyone with any experience of the situation knows better.

As someone who supports the first Irish team to win the European Cup in 1967 namely Celtic F.C. - I am appalled and saddened that in my lifetime a Rangers Thread has opened on Boards.ie. Shocking Shocking

You might not like equality but there you go. Looking forward to seeing Jelavic and Diouf upfront together. Good thing about Diouf is he can play out wide or upfront. A great option to have.

I think he is a good player. Could cause serious damage in the SPL. I see no reason why he can't.

If i had to pick a Scottish team it'd be the Gers. They had a class team right throughout the 1990s and early naughties with Laudrup/Gazza/Albertz and co., and the old warriors of Hateley & McCoist. Developed a soft spot for them after watching them in the 1993 EC campaign and the less successful ones during the mid/late90s. Still keep an eye on their results and cheer them on when they beat Celtic.

Hope they sort out their finances out and the new owner they're getting in splashes the cash and get the players in, though with Walter in charge even without the cash they are still top dogs, some things never change.

NB Barstool republicans i don't give a fawk about the politics of it all.

    LOL

I remember a kid in my school came in to PE one day and whips out the old Rangers away red & white shirt, talking late 80's, and puts it on. I had to admire such a ballsy move but he only wore it once. Not you was it?

Nah this was round 1999-2000, wore it plenty of times.

To people saying there are no 'organic' RFC supporters in the ROI i'd disagree. Obv. there's nowhere near the number of EPL, Celtic or LoI supporters but i've met a couple in my time including one of my neighbours, you've just gotta look in the right places:cool:.
