Water feature on seafront

Couldn't believe my eyes this evening when I saw a roped off area in front of ST Davids and a sign saying a "water feature" is under construction. Hello? In front of a natural "water feature" i.e The sea!! Have the council lost the run of themselves altogether? It'll look ridiculous.....I despair!

call me cynical, but they look like graffiti magnets.

on a related note, the seafront between the harbour and the south beach is starting to resemble a cemetery there are now so many granite memorial benches - some of them even have "RIP" and dates on them.

I know people want to commemorate their loved-ones and its a cheap way for the council to provide seating, but it has gotten out of hand.

well you have to remember that the tidy towns committee are giving up their time to improve the town and working very hard every week and the least we can do (those of us who do not take part) is say thanks and support what they do.
