Spinning

    Anybody have any spinning routines they do on their own, they have spinning bikes in the gym in work, lower legs are injured again:mad::( so onto the bikes:(

    or should i ust do a hiit style routine for a half hour??
    e.g.
    5min warm up
    20 min (30s on 60s off)(increasing the on time by 5s per week eating into the rest)
    5min warm down

    any thoughts, ill be doin it 3x/week and swimmin 2x/week

    a current injury (especially in the legs) would rule out HIIT for me

    HIIT works best when you have a well trained / established aerobic base (i.e. the stamina to push hard and the ability to recover)

    i'd be wasting your time specifying individual interval timings, as i know nothing about your fitness levels or aerobic capacity... and to produce a decent HIIT workout you need a well tuned ability to rate your exertion level (and if possible have determined your heart rate parameters)

    its an impact injury, i.e. being on a bike, cross trainer wont affect it. before anybody starts ive been to the physio, 2 in fact, and i may aswell of stared into a crisp packet for all the good its done me.

    Hi Newby.

    I hope your injury has healed up. I go to drop in one hour classes and the instructor gave me a copy of his playlist. Its an exceptional cd and he guides you about whats on it and how to work out to it. The website is link removed.

    try a class and see if he can help you out also. regards

    You go to spinning classes or you teach them yourself? Your profile suggests the latter.

    If so, it might be an idea to actually provide the OP with some helpful info (like flywheel did) rather than using the thread to promote your service.
