Seriously, how sick do you have to be to even consider doing something that vile to a defenceless animal?

My guess is, even if the scumbags are found, they'll most likely receive minimal sentences or some community service.

The justice system should be far harsher to those caught committing acts of extreme animal cruelty, imo. If they are this cruel to animals, it's not a huge stretch to imagine them dishing out the same treatment to their fellow human beings.....many psychopaths started out with animals first, after all.

    Hello there.

I am a person who does not enjoy reading stories of horrific atrocities heaped upon defenseless members of society (in this case a dog).

I would like to warn others of a similar persuasion (unfortunately I did not receive this benefit, however this does not prevent me from warning others) that if you are of a sensitive disposition when it comes to beings that are attacked whom (a) have not invited attack upon themselves and/or (b) do not deserve the unbridled hatred of humans then you would most likely NOT wish to view the heading outlined in the Original Post.

I could not read that story because I cannot understand how anyone could be so cruel to an animal. The obviously have a very sick mind.

I say this with no backlash at the story but in an attempt to educate, There is an intrinsic link between battered pets and battered women and children. The fbi were the first to see a connection between the two. Anyone who can degrade a life because its only a child/animal/woman has serious psychological problems. God help the children or wife/girlfriend of whoever of this disturbed person.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

There are many well documented cases of prolific serial killers, who started out by torturing animals.

Cases like these are usually an indication that not all is right in the mind of the perpertrator.

    It's completely inhumane.

The speed of death, the difference in the psyche of an individual satisfying a natural need to it and an individual killing an animal because of a desire to inflict suffering springs to mind.

Ah come on - there's a difference between killing an animal humanely* for the purpose of consumption and torturing one for sick jollies.

*I realise this will spark an inevitable debate on what constitutes a 'humane' killing, but I hope most people will get the difference between the two in this case.

In lighter news...millions of people are dying from famine all over the world.

Ah come on - there's a difference between killing an animal humanely* for the purpose of consumption and torturing one for sick jollies.

That 'purpose of consumption' you talk about can also be construed as selfish greed (i.e. the enjoyment of tasting the animals flesh, at that animals expense) for example I haven't eaten chicken in almost 10 years and am in perfect health, what makes someone else NEED to eat chicken (same applies to all meat, just using chicken as an example).

My point is there is no need to eat chicken, it satisfies peoples taste senses so they make the conclusion that the chicken being brutalized* is ok because it creates a sense of pleasure in us. Seeing a connection with this story?

These peoples sense of sadism was satisfied by brutalizing the dog, your sense of taste is satisfied by (being responsible for) the brutalizing of chickens. This is exactly why stories like this don't shock me in the slightest. The net result is the same for the poor animal.

*Look up the conditions and deaths that broiler chickens (i.e. 99% of the chickens in shops) go through if you don't believe me.

Yes but I would be surprsed if even in Korea/Japan that any rational people would delight in the digusting torture of an animal (foodsource or not).

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

"Horrible thing to do to a dog these people should be locked up"

"These people deserve to get their faces dipped in acid"

"But is only a dumb animal"

"Millions of chickens, pigs and cows are painfully slaughtered everyday and you still eat meat"

"But thats different dogs are pets"

    "They eat dogs in Korea"

    This should cover all bases!!!
