Opinion seems to be divided about equally on a milder or colder than average month, and most of the other forecasts scatter about equally around normal as well. We have 43 entrants this month.

Dunboyne/Dunshaughlin co meath and Fermoy co cork. Two ag colleges.

Rainfall above normal by lots in the Western half and soon to be in the East and South. Monthly totals will be well reached before halfway.

Sun well below normal in the West and faring slightly better in the East and South.

Had a look there, IMT is 7.3.

IMT is now at 7.9c

It may break the 8c but will slide from then on...slowly at first.;)

Rainfall figures will be mental by the end of the month but one or two will be pleased with this (not me! :pac:)

Minimum temperature has not featured yet but it looks like the first frost will happen on Monday 7th February (today) and Tuesday 8th morning

The south/south east did well to avoid alot of the heavy rain the last 7 days. We might make up for it tonight/tomorrow though

The stats for the first week show the same picture as the map above.

IMT 7.7 C

rainfall 390% of normal

sunshine 87% of normal

The rainfall when added to today's amounts sets the base at 100% of normal for the outcome (in other words, all rain from now on will add to 100% for the month). Ouch. IMT will also take some work to return to the contest range, but that looks vaguely possible.

Deep Easterly

Feb IMT on 7.1c at the moment which is 2.1c above normal for the first 3rd of the month.

Feb IMR on 90.3.mm which equates to 381.1% of normal rainfall for the period 1st-10th! :eek:

Rainfall has broken through the 100percent barrier in all parts of Ireland

Sunshine would seem to be around the 80percent

I presume that is 100% rainfall for the month, not up to the 10th? And sunshine is up to the 10th, yeah?
