Getting awful bored of the random photos thread. Beaches babies and flower pots. *yawn* been a fair while since anything really outstanding has gone up

*edit* think I'm probably spending too much time on 500px and come away with a heightened lowest acceptable standard. I suck :(

I'm going to assemble a 500px portfolio composed entirely of the baby shots and flower pots that I've uploaded to the random photos threads. That ought to bring down the average a bit...

Ironically yours is one of the few I really liked and the first outstanding photo that sprung to mind was the first one I saw from you. It was your wife I think holding your kid in the living room. Really made me think about film photography over digital. A lot of whatever it is about that shot resonates with me. Great work.

    http://www.grabone.ie/dublin/photo-to-canvas-prints
    Two 10x10" photo-to-canvas prints for €30, instead of €82.
    Two 16x12" photo-to-canvas prints for €38, instead of €110.
    Two 24x16" photo-to-canvas prints for €58, instead of €148.

Was gonna post it own thread, but that could be considered a shill so I'll just stick it here. If the Mods think it worthy of its own thread please feel free to split it(not anyway related to Grabone, just a happy customer). I dont get much printed so I dont know how this compares up, but it would seem like a good deal.

if anyone could vouch for the quality/service then this would seem like a fairly epic deal to me!

Not anything to do with photography, but thought I'd share that with online buddies (yes, you), at least the ones that don't know it yet :
go to Google Maps and enter China (has to be A, your departure).
then type in Taiwan as the destination.
then look at instruction 48 :D.

ooh yeah, saw that. even though myself and mr artyeva would have less than zero interest in any street sports, we were glued to it. and how cool is danny macaskill? the footage of him as a kid in his garden with all the pallets? too cute.

    In fairness there are only 3 countries;

    'merica
    Canadia
    and not 'merica

So it's easy to see how things went askew.

Norwegian design studio Skrekkøgle — the one that printed a photo with a cremated dog — has a creative project called “Big Money” in which they made a giant 20:1 replica of a 50 cent Euro coin. They then placed the coin next to large objects and photographed them together, making the objects look like tiny toy replicas.

Finally, here’s a photo showing how big the coin actually is:

If you want your own giant coin, they’re accepting orders through their online shop.
