Firstly mods, apologies if this is in the wrong place - I tried to post in anotehr forum where there was a lot of talk about ww but it seems to be now closed.

Anyway tonight I finally joined WW. I was excited to join as a lot of my friends have had very positive experiences with the programme. I am not sure if I was expecting too much but nothing I expected to happen did happen and I am just wondering if this is normal.

My main problem is for my "starter meeting" it was less than 5 minutes long with 4 other new girls. My friends have all talked about their target weight they were given etc but this was not even mentioned to me. We we barely shown how to use the wheel thing and teh elader didn't actually even say what it was for she just showed us how to use it which was confusing. She alo told us teh calculator was great but didn't show us how to use that either.

I have no clue about the programme and it seems the expectation was that all of us would have tried it before. We were just told to docuement what we eat and not to go over teh points (and I may be picky here but we were not shown what to write on the paper and it seems confusing to me as there re number son it that have no significance to me whatsoever.

Will we be given ideas of meal points things that can be easily picked up. I realise some of this is probably in the book but I am a picky eater and it seems confusing. Thanks anyone in advance for your advise.

Also if anyone knows how many pp are in a painini I would appreciate it as I eat these a few times a week as they are quick and filling (I can add up the toppings myself!
    Thanks

If at all possible move to another meeting as unfortunatley some leaders are just better and more interested than others and it can make all the difference to you when you are going back each week. You are paying a lot of money to follow this plan so you should have come away with all the info but you didnt and that isnt your fault and you arent being picky at all

i agree, it sounds like you just got a bad leader. i recently went back to ww after a year and the new programme was really well explained, and the leader went around to each new person and sat with them and went through the wheel and any other questions they had from the meeting or from glancing at the books. she also holds a question and answers at every meeting, and i know a few of the ladies were struggling last week and she gave them a phone number to call her with any questions during the week.

as the pp said, you are paying alot of money and deserve a good service. it sounds like your leader is just rubbish. its such a pity you had a bad experience so far, because it really is a wonderful programme and a good leader is so motivating.

Thanks for the replies. I think she was a guest speaker so I will give it another chance next week. Her speech was good I was just disappointed with my starter class. Haven't a clue how to document points etc so will just have to hope for the best!

    Here's the ww thread!

Come Join us! The support is great! Some ppl using meetings, some ppl using the online uk site. I'm sure there's bount to be someone who can suggest another meeting and leader if your not happy with your one.

Alot of people had mixed feelings about the new programme and there fist meeting on it.... the leaders are only just being trained in on it...so...to put it bluntly alot of them are kinda crap at the moment! But i'm sure they'll get better!
