    Hi all
recently in the days after working my chest (triceps done on the same workout) I have been experiencing muscle pains (good pain doms type) in my middle back, lower traps under shoulder blades I think.

I haven't really changed anything in my routine lately but I have been ensuring to concentrate on pulling the shoulder blades together while bench pressing. I'm guessing this is what is causing it.

So what i want to know is:
is this normal? Does anyone else experience it?

yep very normal-I arch my back alot these days but my back used to get every bit as tight/sore back when I stayed flat.
Someone else can probably explain the mechanics of it better but as far as I know its to do with the back stabilising the shoulders/upper body

Could be your serratus anterior, which is used during bench press. A lot of people mistake DOMS in their serratus anterior for lat DOMS.
