    1. Weigh yourself weekly for early detection of a weight-gaining trend
    2. Exercise half an hour every day
    3. Minimise sugar, junkfood and sweets in your diet
    4. Eat whole foods

When someone loses weight it doesn't mean they can then fall back into old habits.

well, you've got to question why you put back on the weight. When you've reached your goal weight, do you relax? Do you stop being vigilant or stop exercising?

Losing weight has got to be a permanent change to your lifestyle. Not just something you adopt to get to the goal.

    Great advice.

You need to have the mindset to be motivated to maintain your weight.
You lost 4 stone, which is brilliant and you must have put loads of hard work and effort into that.

Then, in the last year and a half ( which is 78 weeks) you have put on 63 lbs, 2 lbs every 3 weeks.

You need to work out what bad eating habits you have, and fix them and motivate yourself to keep the habits away.

Next time, remember that its much easier to lose 6lb than 63lbs. You need to be taking control of your eating and weight, all the time, not just when you have put on 4st.

Dont forget, You can do it. Be positive.

You really need to examine and look at what you did to lose the weight and then what you did after you lost it.

Did you crash diet to lose it, did you lose it by making changes that were unsustainable for life?

If you want to lose it and keep it off you have to make changes that you can keep until the day you die. Knowing how many calories you can consume, getting in exercise, creating a small daily calorie deficit and not banning a lot of foods (ie everything in moderation) is a good ay to start. Go out and educate yourself. Get your head in the right place - 90% of this will be having your head in the right place and screwed on - if you are an emotional eater, examine why you eat when happy, sad, lonely, depressed. If you are not motivated, examine why and what you can do to motivate yourself.

Know that this is for life and that you will slip up, stop etc but just put your chin up and move on.

If you cannot keep it off - you're doing it wrong i.e eating too many calories, not having your head in the right place etc etc

The stickied threads at the top of this forum are an excellent resource for begenner reading.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, theres definitely comfort eating going on there. When I lost the weight I was following the weightwatchers point system working out almost every day and running up to 30 miles a week at the height of my fitness. This time around I had a calf injury that stopped me running eventually I got lazy and fell back into old eating habits and havent exercised in almost 3 months. I'm finding it overwhelming thinking about all the work ahead of me my biggest problem is the diet if I think I cant have something I crave it like mad. I will read all the diet and nutrition threads and hopefully when I lose it this time it stays off!
