    Neteller rocks!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to verify your account, but once you do that you're laughing. There is no admin or yearly fee. It's free for point of sales purchase, and online sales. It's also great for booking a car and with ryanair, espeically as your name is on it!

They also give you a free application that can generate a random credit card number for sites you're not sure about and all that kinda thing...

I've blogged about it I love them so much (sad I know, but it was appropriate for the blog I write).

Their verification process can be a wee bit slow, but if you send them in a ticket if it takes too long the sort it pronto. Also so Customer services via facebook and twitter.

There's a link for my blog if you wanna have a look ;-) but I love having my neteller card (it's called Net +)

I have one of these, it works fine. Use it mainly to book ryanair flights and it saves the €20 cc charge on a return flight:D There is no cost for the card or annual fee, but there are some costs for loading and using the card, although these can be avoided if you use the free options.

    Cost of loading the card:

    Bank Deposit
    2-5 business days
    Free*

    International Bank Transfer
    2-3 business days
    Free*

    Credit Card
    Instant
    1.75%

    Debit Card
    Instant
    1.75%

    Charges for using the card:

Point of sale use is free

ATM is €4 for each withdrawal

If you use it to withdraw a different currency You are chaged 2.95%

Does the virtual card(s) work with ryanair (ie needs ones name etc) or do you need a physical card?

No the neteller virtual card won't work for ryanair, not virtual card will, or soon won't. The physical card will though, no problem!

How long does it usually take them to upgrade or get back to you regarding the NET+ verification?

I got one some months ago, activated it online and put 20eur on it, but no matter how I try, it gets refused.

Anyone else ever have issues with online transactions failing?

They should get back to you within 5-7 working days if not, get in touch with them, you can do it via their help, facebook or twitter.

If you are having a problem depositing, just contact them and the can fix the problem or tell you what to do. I've never had any issues depositing with them so I can't really help ya...

What are ye trying to pay for under €20? The card has always worked for me on Ryanair, although sometimes booking is unconfirmed until conformtion e-mail is sent. Had some trouble loading the card on one occasion and got call from cc company checking if it was me using my card. Apart from that no problems at all.

It got mine within a week or so. If you're not heard from them just contact them. They are usually pretty quick with that, or use their FB or twitter page!

The only fees that they charge a card holder are 4euro for a cash withdrawal (makes no difference the amount). You can use your card for Point of Sales purchases, no charge, online- no charge.

The 2euro will just stay on your card and you can use it towards another purchase once the cash in on your account!

    Hi RachelIVO,

I too have just got the neteller plus prepaid mastercard and is working fine for me. Was deciding between moneybookers and neteller and decided on neteller. Do you know if they can be used for car hire.

You most certainly can use it for car hire. I do it all the time! The only thing you might find is, is that you have to have the funds on it if the car hire company do preapproval in the case you don't take full insurance. If you take full insurance you don't have any excess to pay so they don't preapprove it.

Can you top it up using a 3v card?

I dont know, but it's possible as they do accept debit cards. They will also accept ukash vouchers which you can buy in a lot of local shops too (as well as online). Ukash stockists will be listed on their site which i think is ukash.com

I topped up my neteller card with money i had left on my payzone card. It was done instantly, however neteller charged 30 cent for the transaction. But i think you mite be able to try with the 3V voucher no harm in giving it a go, but remember neteller will charge 1.75% as it would be seen as a credit card transaction, as 3V is visa.
U can also top up with bank transfere for free. I like netteler as the card is not directly linked to a bank account. In these times, be careful who u give ur bank details too.

They may see 3v as a debit card though, and debit card top ups are free/

I like the Neteller card for exactly the same reason. It's great, no bills, can use online and for the most part it's safe, if there is no money in your account, no one can use it!

Hi Obaraten, did u try to top up by the full amount u had on your 3v voucher? Try again but leave 1.75% for transaction fee and see what happens. Say for example you wanted to top up by 15euro, netellar would charge 15.27 to ur 3V voucher, but only 15euro will be added to your neteller account balance.

Thats strange. Must be something to do with 3v. Is the voucher out of date by any chance.

I can now add funds to Neteller with AIB Maestro at no cost, and it's instant. Did it first time last Saturday morning and presto. Really handy.

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Nope, just bought it on the day in fact.

I wasn't sure if they would take it or not, but I've just seen that they accept Maestro and that it's instant. That's really easy! Dunno if you see their email, but they are allowing ukash deposits for free now. So you can buy a voucher and put it on your neteller account.

Just an update on neteller, i used it in the uk at the weekend, no problems. I am glad now i got the neteller pre paid mastercard. Working great.

    Hi

I'm in the middle of deciding which to apply, Netteller or Moneybookers, just for the purpose of avoiding ryanair admin fees.

It is be great if anyone can confirm the followings:-

    1) Netteller is accepted by Ryanair as Prepaid Mastercard till to-date
    2) Netteller has no hidden charges for topup (using laser card/local bank from IRELAND?), no transaction fees, etc. Basically it has no fees at all?
    3) I can apply for a Euro Card to avoid the currency exhange fees? (i noticed it is a US company)

    Many thanks.

No hidden charges, has free top up options (some chargeable ones too, like credit card)
You can get a Euro card

Same really with moneybookers (think they're skrill now), but as I said on a previous thread, I don't like MB, I don't rate their customer services at all, Netellers are slightly better, but still scripted, although they aren't as self righteous as MB (IMO)

Hi Racheal, thank you for your reply.

I got my Nett card yesterday.. Hurray!!!

I'm trying to transfer money using AIB debit card. It has 19 digits for the card number while the Netteller website only got 16 digits to key in. I failed to transfer money.

Does anyone has this problem? How you all transfer money using Maestro?

I've never used maestro, so I can't really help ya there, but get in touch with their customer services department and see if they can help, if you don't want an email, ask the to call you, they are usually happy to do that

i am 15 and thinking of getting one but can you link it to paypal for sending money to eg america because most ebay sellers only accept paypal and its really annoying that i can only order from Ireland for different things with a postal order and most people wont even accept that! thanks for the help :)

Yes you can connect it to your paypal account. I have done it, and it's brilliant. There are several payment options, some instant and then bank transfers. BUT
the only problem you may have is that AFAIK you have to be 18!

AN AIB Laser card is not a Maestro debit card, therefore it won't work.

You can't have a Paypal account if you're under 18.
