    Your problem lies here. Within that 3000 is 1000 to cover your own stake. It can only cover your own stake and not the other bets. So you'll only have 2000 left to cover the other bets leaving you -1000.

    Basically the 1000 is your own money and you're using it to cover another bet, ie. -1000.
