JCB Backhoe vs Excavator controls question

Older controls on a "backhoe" jcb are different. More modern jcbs can have them the same as an excavator as an option from dealer.

I hate saying backhoe. I feel all american

my JCB 3cx controls are 45 degrees to the left compared to a standard digger, my father wont drive my JCB as he thinks it will mess up his driving skills when he next uses a standard machine.
