Does Anyone know a good spinning boke for home within a budget.
I've come across a Cintura one at irish sports direct for €229.00. Does this sound a bit too cheap?

I'm not sure exactly how much you should pay for a spinning bike, but gyms often get new bikes, and throw out the old ones. You could try asking around various gyms to let you know if they are changing their spin bikes, and you could buy one cheaply off them.

Bear in mind that spinning bikes are very likely to suffer wear and tear, so they need to be used correctly and not abused!

I have a Spinner Pro at home. Got it from a gym closing down a bit back. 229 bike wont last if you are using it regularily i can tell you that.

Fitnessdepit.ie have cheap ones for 350 and 450 that would tide you over better but again with these cheap bikes the first thing to go on them is the resistance making it basically useless.

I use a Spinner Pro at home too... they are designed for commercial environments and to handle a lot of wear/tear... so they are well made and reliable compared to some of the cheaper alternatives...

If you go for a second hand one check out these vids first (there are 4 pages so page through them), find:
'What to look for and avoid when shopping for a used/pre-owned bike'
    and
'The 411 on buying used Star Trac Spinner Pro':
    http://www.studiocycles.com/index.php?cPath=26

There is also videos about products for bike maintenance and user guides etc... and if you do get one get some pedals that you can clip into with cycling shoes (such as the Spinner NXT Dual SPD pedal)

    enjoy :)
