You really need an idea of portions. Is that 4-5 small pieces of chicken, 4-5 slices, or 4-5 chicken breasts?

Same with the potatoes. Golf ball size, tennis ball size, snowball size? Dry roasted or covered with oil? Is the tablespoon a measuring spoonful that has been leveled off, or a big dollop of mash?

A rough estimate is to get the weight -plate up the food, weigh it and then after weigh the now empty plate. This is harder with a sunday dinner if people are picking potatoes & mash as they go along.

Once you have the weights you can sometimes find similar prepackaged foods and use their calories per 100g as an estimate. e.g. birds eye might do a sunday roast.

www.mysupermarket.co.uk are good for getting values. Here are 3

I would tend to go for the highest which is 115kcal per 100g

Last time I had a carvery in a pub similar to that I would guess it was 800-900kcal. That link shows 450g per pack but people usually serve themselves a lot more, and with roasts if you help yourself to more and more during the meal you might not notice how much you really eat.

I would be satisfied with it being around the 1000kcal mark as the rest of the day I am averaging about 800kcal. Trying to stick to about 1800-1900 per day to shift a few kgs and so far has been paying off.
    Lost 1kg after first week.

    Chicken (flesh & skin) roasted 100g 195kcal
    Roast Potatoes (M&S) 100g 125kcal
    Carrot raw 25g 9kcal
    Boiled potatoes 100g 86kcal
    Sage & Onion Stuffing 25g 46.5 kcal
    Gravy (normal serving) ~72kcal
