We have a college football thread, but I thought the biggest game of the year deserves it's own thread.

You know you're in for a shoot out when the under/over spread is in the mid 70s. So who will it be, the high-octane speedfest that is the Oregon Ducks, or the unstoppable locomotive of the Auburn Tigers? The spread is very close to being a pick 'em, it's fallen from -3 to -1.

I gotta go with the Cam Newton show myself. Everything I've seen this year leads me to believe this guy is destined to lead his team to the promise land. It will probably be from an epic comeback too.

I hope Newton does great, just so I can laugh at the team who reaches for him in the draft! I'm supporting the Ducks purely for their Mascot. What a hero..

That poor bastard must be the fitter than their entire team given the amount of push ups he does during the game! :o

I'd like to see a PAC-10 win but apart from that I'm neutral. It's ABD here in Husky town so a lot of temporary Auburn fans popping up for this game.

I'll be rooting for the Ducks.

Unless they wear the ugly yellow unis. Yes I can be petty like that.

Here's a bit of a preview I did for an Irish news site, The Score, and a little background into how the system works for those who are unfamiliar with college football.

IF there was ever a night to get into it, this is it!

Bigger then baseball? Well I've learned something from this thread

Have never watched college football so may as well start tonight. Don't realy have a team, I suppose Notre Dame on the whole Irish connection. And the film Rudy always brings a tear to my eye :o

    1:30 so, I'll tune in

You're in luck. Oregon will be a wearing a brand new uniform designed by Nike tonight.

so guys any thoughts on some bets for game.

I have gone auburn win 2.06 on betfair
i have done a ht/ft bet for orgorn ht auburn full time at 7.0

Done Cam Newton to rush over 80yards with hills @10/11

Had litte bit of under 73.5 pts with paddys, these teams do score high but its final time and it might just be time to play lower risk football.

That atmosphere is incredible. The guys in the studio reckon the Auburn fans outnumber the Oregon fans between 60-40 and 70-30.

    Went for Auburn at Evs.

Got Madden sorted on the Xbox, a brilliant stream on the laptop and stocked up with food and water. What else could a man need!

Ok feck it. Went to bed at 12 with the game set to record. Could not sleep so may as well get up and watch the game

Have a big slice of under 73. I'd have taken the under at 55 too I think

Two 3 and out to start the game. Don't think anyone would have predicted that.

    Edit: Auburn's wasn't a three and out - silly me :o

that pass despite been dropped shows that auburn can do to oregon if they put 8 in the box, which i dont think they did that time.
