Randomers should be in the mercenary playlists really.

No... not really... so you'd be fine with only coming up against partys ? No more constant pub stomping stat boosting lobbies?

What they should have is a party match making and ranking system, full groups vs full groups.. actually challenging groups that pubstomp all day would be a breath of fresh air... although i dont think it'd be too popular for ze killwhores.

There shouldn't be a need for mercenary playlists as they should beable to code the match making better than the shambles they have now. Anything over 2 man partys should be matched together with randomers to fill the gaps and using K/D + W/L ratios to balance the teams.

If they had a system that you could choose between this kind of match making and the way it is now (ie generally being matched against average and below average players)... i'd know what most people would choose.

Myself and Siera were discussing this last night and we came to the conclusion that having both parties of similar size facing each other and the players of similar skill probably would not be feasible.
I would honestly chose any system which means that opponents get better as you do.

    Why ?

Personally i think the close games are always the best games, they dont even have to be 2 partys of 6, if its a party of 3 vs 6 then have a system that'll try and get 3 randomers that are roughly on the same level as the other team. Doesn't have to be super strict, but at least make it more of a challenge than it is right now where you'll have a full party of players with say 2-3 K/D players vs 6 randomers with 1.5 and lower K/D's. May as well be playing vs bots as you'd get more of a challenge. Noone benifits from these kind of games because for the group its just more of the same ole spawn trapping killstreak stacking, while the randomers aren't getting a chance to improve their own game. Usually resulting in lots of rage quits.

In FIFA they've implemented (for the last few games I think) a 5 min period of at the beginning of games where you have the option of quitting and it does not affect your DNF% nor overall W/L record. But unfortunately this is very much abused be it in regular 1 vs 1's or Pro Club. Latter of which I only play, we simply hope we get KO and waste the first 5 mins of time passing it along our defence, goalkeeper and midfield because we usually slaughter teams from the off and score early goals, the opposition will instantly quit in that period.

I think from the beginning of games in COD, 60, maybe 90 seconds at most at the beginning of full matches should be given to quit accordingly (likewise in most multiplayer games). If you join half way, 30 seconds maybe. Enough time hopefully to check scoreboard and quit without it affect any streaks/stats. Nowt worse than being thrown into a game with a party of less than 3, spawn trapped, idiotic random team mates and what not. For me I'd be using that time period to check connection to host and for the latter, again check the scoreboard. COD4 I had a win streak of 350+ , around that, ruined by being thrown into a Hardcore HQ game with 2 mates, the scores where 200-15 I think. Finished 250 - near 200 to the them. Quitting/dashboarding in COD4 lost you you're streak unlike in BOPS.. and MW2 I think.

5 minutes seems a long time for fifa !! Aren't the games less than 10 minutes mostly ?

But yeah, you should get enough time to check ze connection and teams (If you join in progress) and thats about it.

Another thing i wish they'd do is get rid of the stupid freaking connection bars and go back to the standard ping display. A 3 bar can be anything from a 100ms to 200ms ping.. that is a massive difference imo.

Yup, 5 min FIFA time I mean. Those first 5 mins though genuinely feels like 5 mins real time though that's for sure ha.

I think each half is 6 mins real time. Stand to be corrected.

if you quit on COD before you've chosen a class does it still count as a loss?

Other games have these systems in place, yes, but as we've seen, they all just get abused. Then we'd be calling on them to get rid of these things.

Call me glass half empty but I read stuff like that and it just reminds me of a scenario where IW would say "for modern warfare 2 juggernaught will be gone" but we all saw what was put in to replace that! ... what they try to fix with one hand they break with another. God know what they'll replace these broken perks with. I will hold off rejoycing until I see a full perks line up for not only what ISNT there but what IS left in or added.

Are riot shields confirmed? Haven't been keeping up to speed with developments of late. Was only thinking that Black Ops private games would have been much more fun with that available.

Just after watching it there, I'd think it has to do with rewarding objective play and not just regular gun kills. I mean it's so frustrating seeing an emeny (or even friendly) chopper up in the air when I know for a fact that player hasn't moved from the same area while I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to cap flags/defend bombsites etc.

Hopefully they do not mimic the Homefront system too much and add their own spin.
Ghost, you may want to go to COD XP as all attendants get a copy of MW3 hardened Ed free.

    ok....

Treyarch (not Sledgehammer or Infinity Ward) are developing Modern Warfare 3 for Nintendo Wii.

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling revealed the Wii version and Treyarch’s involvement during the latest Activision podcast with community manager Dan Amrich.

“The great thing is Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on the Wii with Call of Duty. They’ll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3,” Bowling said.

Treyarch previously ported Black Ops, World at War and Reflex to the Wii.

Modern Warfare 3 is out this November on on PS3, 360, PC and now Wii.

Will be nice for them getting to use decent sound effects for once :pac:

Savage news...and yes, I'm a Wii CoD fan...not many of us but I still see over 30,000 online when I play it a few times a week.

Loved Black Ops and Reflex and I'm happy that peeps that have a proven track record on the platform are coding it.
