I can't believe some of you still have your George Webbs!!! I remember everyone HAD to have a pair in school, then the metal studs on the sole got popular, guys skidding around the yard with sparks coming out of their heels.

I bought my ox-blood docs of Peggy, my regards to her family. I hope they see this, it's a nice thread.

On behalf of Peggy's family, I'd like to extend our sincerest thanks to all of you for all your messages and thoughts and memories. It is comforting to read so many stories about how many people knew or bought from Peg.

Her son, actor and writer, Garrett Keogh, has been writing a play called 100 Views Of My Mother, which will now be all the more poignant with her passing. I will post details of this production as they become available.

We celebrated her passing in style yesterday, with everyone in their smartest shoes to honour her, and pay her tribute. She will be hugely missed, but we will walk on proudly, carrying her history with us.

Thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts.

    The Keogh Family.
