    What's up people.
I'm a boy, I will be 17 in February and they problem I have is a my belly, which is HANGING!!!
I can't actually stick to work-out or stuff, I get distracted too easily.
It helds me back from socializing :o or even putting on some clothes which shows it even more. :( .
I've never been out on a Saturday night or even out with friends for the last 15 months and reason being my unfit body.
Now tell me something which will help me lose it as quick as possible.
    Regards.

You won't lose it quickly and if you do, you'll likely put it back on as quick. Have a look at the stickied threads at the top of the fitness forum. They're really informative.

Changing your eating habits is the only way to lose fat. If you eat too much, you'll gain some. Eat too little, you'll lose some. There are a few things you can start with right away that'll help. Get rid of the obviously bad things from your diet (eg. Cans of coke, chocolate, sweets, chipper etc.) and start eating a more balanced diet of meat, eggs ,vegetables and nuts.

You say you can't stick to exercise. If that's the case then your diet will be a lot more important.. but you might consider getting a gym membership and taking up weight training. Building muscle helps people lose fat, and generally makes them look better.

I was a bit like you until after Transition Year.. Try weight training, you might enjoy it.. You really need to cut out the crap like Coke, chips, crisps, etc. and try eat 500 calories less each day, you should lose around a pound a week then.. And go out and have fun, once you're out, you tend to forget about your appearance, I'd say you'll have a good time.

And take up a sport, try rugby, it's for all shapes and sizes..

I have also decided to cut out Xbox and Video Games aswell.
They tend to stimulate my brain and I can't remember when and how much food I had.
There is a basketball court in my back yard, I'm gonna run 5 laps a day and I will add 2 laps everyday to it.

Honestly man there is no need to cut out Xbox and video games.. Sure you can get fitness games now for any console.
What i did was make a note of what i ate in one of those year long diary planners that works! Diet is the most important part so unless ya get that under control theres not much point running laps outside if when u go back in you will be munching on crisps.

Running 5 laps of a basketball court a day wont make much difference to ya and you wont keep it up cause as you say you get distracted.. Would ya not just put the ipod in grab a ball and spend an hour-hour half just running basketball drills by yourself or call a friend over and have a pick up game.

Starchy carbohydrates go straight to that section just above your hip bone. Can you get your mam to switch to wholegrain (brown) bread, rice and pasta?
You will drop a small bit of weight there without even doing anything.

And continuing this train of thought. Since it is your mother who generally feeds you (I presume) you will need to have her 100% onboard with whatever dietary plan you decide to take up. My simple rule of thumb is follow the food pyramid, and if you are playing xBox, keep some fruit handy.

Finally, deciding to take the emphasis off exercise will make your challenge much greater. I personally cannot run laps round a basketball court or spend hours is a gym. Instead I have thought long and hard about activities which i enjoy and give me give a good endorphin rush.

I'm not being harsh but i can tell from your attitude in your post that you don't really have your heart in changing your appearance despite how much you may want it. Your post reeks of a quick magical fix. The bottom line is you are going to have to exercise and you are going to have to diet. It's the only way you will lose weight. You can't just specifically do something to reduce fat from the stomach either. It happens on a body wide scale. You would want to be aiming for 4-5 workouts a week. 20-30 minutes would suffice. Nobody is saying you have to join a gym and start lifting heavy weights. Body weight squats, burpees, press ups, crunches, some moderate weight work, cardio (jogging, skipping, biking, aerobics, etc) and most importantly a diet that is low in carbs late in the day. And keep your carbs clean. Cut out processed food and takeaways. Ditch the fizzy drinks and sweets. As i and others alluded to earlier there is no quick fix. It is going to take hard work and sacrifice. If you stick with it and put in the effort for a few weeks and notice results it becomes less of a chore and more of a hobby. The first few weeks are make or break. Good luck with it anyways.

Top-notch advice right there. That's losing weight in a nutshell really.

Mod note: Brain Plank - it would be nice if you gave some helpful advice to the OP in your posts! / Mod note

OP - 'as quick as possible' you say?
Why not think long term, if you want changes to stick, then the 'quick as possible way' is a method that easily leads to the yo - yo effect which is not what you want.

El horseboxo has great advice, can't go wrong. If you are not willing to stick to an exercise routine, then diet will be the main man for the job, read the stickies here and in the nutririon forum. Once you start seeing results, that's usually motivation to keep going. It's the start that is the roughest, but try to picture the goal you have in mind and how you will feel in a few months if you tackle your goal now.

    Best of luck.

Good try being cheeky but my waist is just 36 inches and it's the hanging belly that I'm worried about.
There is already a chap who fits into XXL.
